I've never understood this method myself. As you said, "this" is opposed to taking full loss and full gain - but what is "this"? Seems to me "this" is taking full loss and partial gain. Either way, you are taking full loss. The only way this would make any sense is if doing it increased your...
Very nice! Thanks. I was planning on doing something like this tonight - but you've saved me the work and that's putting me closer to switching to ESignal for charting instead of just the feed.. :)
Pretty choppy today - too many B/E's and a few DW's.
For ES:
+2.50 points, 17 trades, 10 winners, 7 losers
For NQ:
-7.50 points, 18 trades, 8 winners, 10 losers

They are both the same. Those bars are colored based on the stochastic. The bar is green if %D>%K, the bar is red if %K>%D. 8*272=2176, so there is a new 2176T bar opening at the same time a new 272T bar starts at those vertical yellow lines.
So, the bar 272T bar right before the yellow...
GG - I wouldn't say this has anything to do with trading this or entering OCA orders via excel, it simply has to do with order entry period. All of the issues you mention are just a result of how *you* are entering the orders - not saying you are doing anything wrong - but it really isn't...
If you get filled better, I'd change the stop. Now, if you get stopped out, there is the chance that you will get a better fill on that end also - which is great.
Here are three pieces of todays 272 tick chart. Vertical lines mark the 2176 accumulations.
Trades would have been made in the direction of the color of the bar just before the one marked with the vertical line. I haven't checked to make sure that this matches exactly with the 2176 tick...
Very few of these don't trade through - and no, on the ones that don't, I'm not including any slippage. My experience seems to be that even in real life you are likely to get a fill at the extremes unless there is some really big size or you are really late in getting the order in. This has...
I took all of the trades except for the first 2 after the data feed resumed about 14:30.
For ES:
55 Trades
43 Winners
12 Losers
Gross +28.00 points/ $1400.00/contract
Commish $264.00
Net $1136.00/contract
GG - It's almost impossible to try and match that up with me - mainly because of the data feed outage that started around 14:15 and ended about 14:35. Lots of missing ticks.
However, at about the time you started, I had 3 losers in a row, followed by 3 winners and then another loser - it...
Bush would have to speak right on the 15:47 trade....
For ES: -4.00 points, 16 trades, 7 winners, 9 losers
For NQ: +7.00 points, 15 trades, 9 winners, 6 losers

zorak - The reason it seems that you are one minute ahead in Ensign is because the times displayed are the closing times of the bars - not the opening like Qcharts shows.
I've attached the stochastic settings that tell it to use certain bar colors. Should be self-explanatory.
Just to make sure - you realize that your procedure will not match what I'm posting nor what many of the other will have since we are not entering the positions in the same way. I'm not using the clock - I'm just using the bars.
Not to say that the way you are doing it is wrong - just wanted...
