Change you can believe in??? Obama signs extension of Patriot Act

People who wanted real change voted for Ron Paul. People who wanted the left wing version of the same-old, same-old voted for Obama. People who wanted World War III voted for McCain/Palin.

    The Republican Agenda?

Actually Republicrats and Demoblicans spend money on pretty much the same stuff - entitlement spending and endless wars.

    The Republican Agenda?

"Get spending under control and immediately follow presumptive Speaker John Boehner's leadership and go back to the 2008 budget level, which would save about a trillion dollars over ten years. This will send a clear signal that Congress is serious about righting our nation's finances, and set...

    Alvin Greene got 358,000 votes

Well, that's a black Republican vs. a black Democrat, so it's not surprising the black Democrat won 90% of the black vote. Show me a race where a black Republican runs against a white Democrat.

    Alvin Greene got 358,000 votes

We could test this hypothesis by looking at races where a black Republican ran against a white Democrat. But such races are scarce as hen's teeth, and finding one where we can get the relevant polling data would be very difficult indeed.

    Alvin Greene got 358,000 votes

In the rigged system known as American democracy, getting almost 10% of the vote is very good for a third party candidate.

    Alvin Greene got 358,000 votes

Who voted for Alvin Greene? Remember that there was a third party candidate, Tom Clements. Here are the results with the percentages of the total vote: http://www.politico.com/2010/maps/#/Senate/2010/SC Jim DeMint 792,133 62.4% Alvin Greene 358,276 28.2% Tom Clements 118,952...

Far left scumbag, and hero to the left Alan Grayson bites the dust.

No doubt it *is* a gerrymandered district. But I never hear Democrats complain about it when the gerrymandering is done to their advantage.

    Alvin Greene got 358,000 votes

Compared to Alvin Greene both Sarah Palin and Christine O'Donnell are towering intellects. And no, I'm not a member of the Palin or O'Donnell fan clubs.

    SEC BANS 'Naked Access"

This won't affect retail traders. They don't have "naked" access, as the broker checks their orders. Sometimes my broker (IB) has strange ideas about what's unsafe. IB let me sell a credit spread with a $3000 margin requirement (and a $3000 worst case loss) but would not let me buy a CCC...

Obama Hope For Re-Election In 2012 Fading Away

Obama does not deserve a second term but we can count on the Republicans to nominate a candidate so repugnant (Palin, say) that Obama wins anyway.

Is there a credit spread equivalent or synthetic of a calendar spread?

I also have no idea what lodging stock to trade options means. But the synthetic equivalent of a call calendar spread is the put calendar spread at the same strike price and expiration months. And vice versa.

NEW Video Info - 9/11: Chemical Engineer Found Nanothermite in WTC Dust

Aluminum from the airplane would not form nano sized particles. It would not be found intermixed with iron oxide in a silicon matrix. You have not given a plausible explanation for how smashing a plane into a building would create those red chips. You are right that I don't have a technical...

Whick broker will give you approval to trade spreads?

Oops, I hit submit before I was finished... Anyhow, you are right that if a broker only allows debit vertical spreads and someone wants to sell a credit spread they would simply buy the synthetic equivalent, replacing a margin requirement with a more expensive option spread. So there's no...

Whick broker will give you approval to trade spreads?

Of course for the credit spreads I was talking about the usual case where both options are OTM. A debit call spread that costs 0.70 with OTM calls is indeed synthetically equivalent to a credit put spread at the same strikes. The net credit for the ITM puts should be about 0.30. However...
