Half way through life and not close to being consistent

So, if I understand correctly, you think the poor performance of your non - automated trading just just a temporary situation ? If so, then what's the problem ? Sorry if you think I'm trying to be a smart arse, I'm not. Anyway, Holland vs Mexico starts shortly, so I'll be busy...

Half way through life and not close to being consistent

Why not go 100% automated then ? Do more of what works & less of what does not. And if you really must do the discretionary stuff, trade it i) in a separate account and ii) Very small (tiny) size compared with the automated stuff.

"You are still eligible for the $1M cash price. For James Rand it's enough that you prove to be statistically significant. With your possibilities, why give away the 1M ? It's not rational. (Well of course in that case they would not allow you to do any selective reporting, but that should not...

"Please, let me know when your "Summary Weeks" will show that you you are in a "through" of your equity curve (well, I know your equity curves have only "crests", but nevertheless, just in case you decide to give it a touch of realisticity and not give the impression you handpick what is...

"Since you don't seem to have a methodology that you believe in as of yet how can you trade 108 times in a week? Don't you think that's trading insanity? Why not bring the ction down by 80 or even 90% and find a trade that works for you consistently?" That's a good point. Although I think...

Fullautotrading, you do some across as somebody who prefers to use 150 words, where perhaps four would do. Trading is very simple. From your posts, you appear to be a losing trader, who thinks that if they just keep repeating what they are doing, they will somehow become a winning trader...

108 trades.... wow. I did 26, and that's a busy week for me. I suggest identfying what is working and what is not, then doing more of the former, whilst eliminating the latter. Good luck.

"Tough trading week again. Down 11k this week. " Why don't you elaborate a bit, provide some details, how many trades, which instruments, duration of trades etc ? This is supposed to be a trading 'journal' after all.

"We are right now in the middle of a larger "investment" phase and we need, of course, this new investment to be transformed into new profits. This is the ordinary way trading works: you have alternating phases of investment and returns. Clearly, the purpose of a folio is, in general, that of...

There's a quote in Jack Schwager's book 'The New Market Wizards' where one of the traders interviewed says he will take a chart of the current market & stick it up on the wall. Then he will walk across the room, and look at the chart from a distance, in order to identify the general trend...
