Trading Chaos by Bill Williams. Especially the first part about psychology. I have done his "pages" which involves writing out your every thought stream of consciousness style before trading. Useful. If you do it just once you'll probably realize just how much stuff you carry around with you in...

I gave my copy to Mickey Hoffman, who used to train traders at the CME. He really liked it. So much so that he never gave it back. Haha

    yen to weaken: prediction

We really need another national holiday called Newbie Day. Without newbie traders, the markets would cease to exist. We should all feel grateful.

The sad thing to me is, there are some traders here who would love to pass on what they so painfully learned and spare someone years of agony. Unfortunately, almost none of you are teachable because you're so arrogant. So till you become ready, it's gonna be cat and mouse forever.

Just because you just walked through the minefield and didn't get blown up, doesn't mean it's a safe minefield.

I would ask you, what is it about your present reality do you need to disconnect from? Doing so is disconnecting, not meditating.

What I think I know is usually not accurate. Once in awhile the unusual happens, and I pay attention to it. Then it's simply a matter of whether it's me imagining something, or whether there really is change.

I would say that disconnecting is using energy to move away from. If I'm meditating and the dog is barking, I don't want to disconnect from that. I want to acknowledge it a let it pass. Back to the present moment.

RN, what I think of as trade advice is the parade of market prognosticators especially on TV, who for example as this market in stocks keeps rising, are telling me the sky is about to fall. I have just seen stuff like that over and over, for so many years. I really make an effort now to ignore...

    Meditation and trading

As far as I can tell, the basic idea behind meditation is to be focused on the present moment. Most people on this planet, myself included, are usually in three places at once--past, present, and future. We spend most of our conscious thinking remembering or projecting, and miss the now...

The one saving grace about trading is that if you survive long enough it will absolutely teach you to never take any information at face value Unfortunately, this makes most men jaded. So that's the real trick is to have a sense of grace even when you know it's all BS.

Read "Confessions of an Economic Hit Man" by Perkins and then tell me whether you want to keep studying the crap they teach you in school

I really think they should have gullibility classes in school. It would have served me well. It's one of the main reasons I detest formal education. The stuff they really need to teach you, they don't or can't.

An old contractor, and former bookie, once told me, "Ya know, if you're having trouble figuring something out, if you figure Money for the answer, you're going to be right about 90 percent of the time." He ended up ripping me off on a job, but the advice still stands the test of time. Haha.
