When I place a market order on a 3 lot or smaller, I usually get filled within 2 points away from the last/current. Does anybody else have the same experience?

I agree. Also, a good move is to stay with 100-200 share positions for a good period of time in order to get your technique.

Market seems to holding and ready for an afternoon rally. A resumption of the uptrend is not totally out of the picture.

I use trade options as a hedge for my primary trading vehicle not instead of it; that's what has made the biggest difference for me. In options ... slightly negative In my overall trading ... positive. That's the bottom line. :D
