Need help with Portfolio Margin Test

You are scaring me with this comment. Are you suggesting that PM accounts may no longer be allowed?

Is it possible to see the brokerage identity for options transactions in the Time & Sales tape?

Although not the information you asked about, the new enhanced option time and sales information is very useful (available about a year ago). I have noticed not all brokers are offering it. Basically there is an identifier next to each transaction saying what type of trade it is, I believe...

    Gambling on Weekly S&P500 options

Not sure what you mean by "the order won't be executed until the cash open". The SPX options trade through the entire session. You can buy and sell and if your price is favorable to the MM, your order will be filled. The markets are priced based on where the futures are trading.

    Why are TSLA Dec18 680 calls quoted at $0.10 / $0.20?

TSLA was trading at 658.34 at 4pm et when the options closed. This was not the official closing price though. The options were pricing in a markdown based on the 4pm price, so the out of the money puts were bid very high and the out of the money calls were offered very cheaply. They were...

The link provided states the overnight session is 2am to 815 ct. I referenced Eastern Time when I said the overnight session was 3 to 915am. Same thing, different time zones.

Not all brokers offer access to this after hours session (3am to 915am et). Most retail brokers don't. Interactive Brokers does and Fidelity offers access to part of the this overnight session. Other brokers will show the quotes, but not allow trading. I know TOS does, not sure about others.

    Odds Of Assignment?

The key is where they were trading just before the exercise cutoff, so between 510 and 530pm et. It looks like they were trading below 311 most of this time. If i were to guess, I would say less then 10% will be exercised.

    TSLA Options Question

These used to be the 5 strike before the split, and TSLA was a lot lower at one time. Worth it for some people to cover their shorts for margin reasons. If they are being paid adding liquidity, they could even have a negative commission on the cover.

    IB, you really suck...

I'll say it, "my broker has amazing customer support" (Dash Prime) and my execution platform service as well (WEX) In the years I've been with them, I don't ever remember when the phone rang more then 3 times with any question I had. And I speak to someone who knows what they are talking about...

    Bids below intrinsic value

Yes, bid prices are lower then intrinsic. Why does that seem strange? It looks like the 5 calls are worth about intrinsic value, so the MM's are quoting around .10 of edge to make the trade, .10 below intrinsic to buy and .15 over to sell. It is likely the "real' market is tighter, probably...

    Broker Comparisions?

I don't think that is true. It depends on whether you choose fixed or tiered with IB and what products you trade. For example it seems that options are generally cheaper with Lightspeed. Stock may or may not be cheaper depending on your overall volume as well.

    Getting interest through SPX boxes

I don't think you understand the position. This is a box (without selling the wings, the 200 puts and 5200 calls). There is no vol risk, there is no theta risk, you don't need any movement to make money. You pay 4995 today and it is worth 5000 at expiration. Its that simple. This is a...

    Getting interest through SPX boxes

What risks are involved here? This is a cash settled index. You have the potential of a bad mark, but even that would be a relatively minor risk. I currently receive zero interest for credit balances, this allows you to receive interest and still have full margin availability. You are also...

    Getting interest through SPX boxes

I know you're joking, but since you are buying the strangle, you are synthetically long the 5200 calls. So you would make lots of money!
