Can I continue trading for living?

According to MorningStar, the top performing mutual fund returned about 24% annualized over the last 10 years, while the average one returned less than 5%: http://screen.morningstar.com/FundSearch/FundRank.html?fundCategory=all&screen=tr10yr If you think you can beat all of them, go for it.

who can tell me whats the effect of "MACD"

Like any other technical indicator, MACD does not have any "effect". It's the other way around: when the market moves, it affects the indicators. In other words, the market doesn't look at MACD to figure out where it wants to move next. Instead, MACD records where the market is. More...

    Wednesday a guaranteed mess

So, you are saying the market is delusional because the indexes are up, but at the same time the market is lucid because it also lifted SIGM? What if it went the other way around, i.e, both the indexes and SIGM were down? Would it be considered a "delusional" market or not?

should I rent my house out

Use zillow.com to pull the chart for your house historical value. Throw around some fibonacci retracements lines and mark double tops and quadruple bottoms. If it looks like you are in retracement of a minute wave 2 of minor wave 4 of a superwave 3, then rent to a guy. But if the slow...

Bulls: She Is Rolling Down Since Yesterday: Why Are You Still In?

I really don't know what you are talking about. The "bulls" are up 9% in the last 20 days, as measured by the S&P 500. And we are at about the same levels as we were 3 months ago, so it's not clear at all who should be laughing and poking fun.

    How sad is this?

Yes, I stand corrected. Nevertheless, even when dividends are taken into account, one would still be looking at the negative SPY return for the last 8 years.

    How sad is this?

It's actually more dramatic. The "diligent investor" who started investing in the SPY in 1999 is now also looking at a loss or break-even at best.

Bulls: She Is Rolling Down Since Yesterday: Why Are You Still In?

I assume you wanted to say "So, the key to all this is to buy on pullbacks only". I have no problem with that. But then again, you answered your own question in the first post of this thread: you see buying on the way down because many traders see it as a pullback from the continuing uptrend.
