I have a data subscription (eSignal) and if needed I want to pay for increased symbol limits with IB. I suggest a minimum commission of XXX for access to more symbols (or pay) What I think is, if You keep the max limit in TWS at 40 (current) adn only allow API users 100, than only the people...

First of all you have to understand teh difference between execution software and charting software. - execution software lets you trade over the internet - charting software lets you program your ideas / systems to give you an indication of market sentiment. There are some exceptions...

And adding to this, IB is still the ONLY broker I know of that offers - Multicurrency accounts for all products (not just futures) - These accounts are SIPC insured (even if you only trade futures) This might not be a problems for people living in the USA but think about European traders...
