I don't think "the experts" think physical torture is more effective than not using physical torture in gaining usable information. If the goal is to punish, then physical torture may be more effective, but I don't think that should be the goal. However, psychological torture, aka "mind games"...

My computer started doing the same thing (not showing all the icon pictures about half the time) ever since I "upgraded" to IE 6.0 from 5.0. Faster than refreshing is right clicking the picture and selecting "show picture". Other computer with IE 6.0 upgraded ok so not sure why this one is...
