How can I be a discipline Trader???

Great job. That's day one. Keep it going. Build from there. At some point, you might consider checking out a market and/or broker that is more conducive to your trading style. You want to put yourself on an even playing field with professional traders. Every tool and edge you are...

Newbie with questions about Prop firms

Take your time and don't rush into it. Congratulations on your degree and your determination to work hard and save up the money to trade fulltime. That's great!! Regarding your situation with Worldco. It's not a good sign when you have second thoughts about a broker before you even open...

POLL: Are you a home run champ or a batting average champ?

When there are two strikes against me, I'll walk off the plate and try to find a different pitcher.

Are you a daytrader or a swing trader?

That is the exact reason why I scale out of my trades. I have always scaled out of my daytrading scalps. Now, I'm attempting to do that with my swingtrades. I find it to be a consistent way to make the cash register ring. You gotta close the positions when you can, not when you have to.

Is a passion for trading essential for success?

I think the markets should be open every Saturday from 9:30-12:00. How nice would that be?

POLL: Are you a home run champ or a batting average champ?

My daytrading is 100% small gains and grinding it out. No homeruns for me. If I make a "triple", I feel like a hero and then I pinch myself to see if I'm dreaming. Other than that, it's grind, grind, and grind.

Is a passion for trading essential for success?

Yes, passion for trading is essential for success. It's impossible to be a consistently profitable daytrader without it. If someone wants to be a consistent winner in any field, I believe passion is an essential ingredient. (just my opinion)

    How old are you?

    1) Started when I was 24 2) I have been daytrading for about 9 years 3) I just sat and watched for my first 3 months. After that I only took 100 share positions. Then I moved up from there. I was fortunate that I was able to follow in the footsteps of a mentor. My mentor was my boss...
