Which trading platforms still have the STATIC DOME?

Not if you change the settings. You can set it so that price stays in the middle at all times.

    chat room

Looking at this purely as a business idea - if you have not lost since Sept 05 and can provide some data to back that up, you could EASILY start a chat room. It might take a little work at first, but just with the many people on ET looking for a good chat room, you could get full fast. Just...

Which trading platforms still have the STATIC DOME?

T4 is somewhat static. I posted some info and a screen shot here: http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=74090

    Learning without a Mentor (Daytrading)

Number of reasons: 1) Liquidity 2) Leverage - good and bad though 3) No uptick rule, easy to short 4) Fast moving, can make larger profits (and losses) 5) Monitor 3-5 markets vs. hundreds of stocks 6) 60/40 tax treatment

    Learning without a Mentor (Daytrading)

I agree with some of the posts here - you have WAY too many things to look at. Narrow the focus list and know that list inside and out whether that's 5-7 stocks or the mini's (my recommendation). Either way, you need to know how Ebay or the ES has responded during certain market conditions...

How is Ninja with TT data?

They do, but this is a limitation. You can set the dom to 'auto-track' and 'centered'. This will eliminate the jumpiness. The catch there is you cannot scroll up and down. My workaround was to set the font small enough and on a large enough monitor (17") so that a good chunk of price levels...

How is Ninja with TT data?

Dan & others - I've never used Ninja, but I am with ProActive and use 'T4'. It's basically an XTrader knockoff, but I love it. It is newer and the designers of the program are open to ideas and suggestions for future improvements. It currently does NOT have charting though - that is coming...

Not the place for the buy and hold investor.

    Questions on house 'flipping'

One other question - how much is a good % off from market prices to be considered a good buy? I've seen 30-50% off, but curious to hear your thoughts OldTrader. Thanks!

    Mini Dow vs. Mini S&P

Some will say that since the point moves are smaller on the YM, the YM is the way to go. At 1 contract liquidity is not an issue, so I would go with the market you are more comfortable with.

    Questions on house 'flipping'

Great post again OldTrader, I appreciate it. A couple good questions on this other thread, esp how do you got about buying below market? That seems to be the first main ingredient of a successful flip. Thanks!

    Questions on house 'flipping'

Rat - not according to how TLC and A&E explain 'flips' with "Flip this house" "Flip that House" "Property Ladder" - all of these deal with buying a house that needs some attention and 'flipping' it.

    Questions on house 'flipping'

My significant other is really interested in learning more about flipping houses, since we seem to watch Flip this, Flip That, Property Ladder, Watch how easy this is, etc. on TLC. TLC is very good at showing how well things go and how easy it is. So, I have a few questions that I am hoping...
