Regarding the Existence or Absence of God

I don't have time to read all 253 pages of this thread, maybe someone had a similar view on this subject regarding the Existence or Absence of God... I simply think we and our world are the part of God, God is everywhere, in everything...

i don't think the markets are random, i think they're like this...

GG types Faster than PussyCat. Maybe he gets $1 for every post from Baron, nice job... just kidding! :D I remember an advice Hitman gave me year ago: "Shut up and trade!" It is a good advice. But I must add, that some basic theory is needed. It's more an art than science!

i don't think the markets are random, i think they're like this...

Thank you Gordon Gekko for the link. Chaos theory is beautiful, it answers many questions from many areas. Trading is difficult, why? Simple answer: because markets move in non-linear way. Universal theory. Everything can be treated as a fractal. Absolutely everything! Here's another link...

    Why is that?

"I am a (so called) trader that does not make money (yet) -- not 10 cents. I would make more money working at McDonald's and that is the sad truth. Don't listen to anything I say. If only everyone else here like me would put out this same warning. I can give one real tip, however: unless you...

    Free Stocks and Commodities...

After reading March, April, May, June and July 2002 S&C, I want to say this magazine provides very little value. John Ehlers will never stop developing his zero-lag - super-smooth indicators... and what's their worth, in front of market's non-linearity?

    Are Traders Ethical

Very well said. Yes, trading is ethical. Financial markets are free. Some want to invest, some want to minimize risk, and traders want to take the risk. We make markets more liquid, spreads are thiner, so investors can invest more at lower transaction costs. Funds can hedge more. We may also...

    DT-waw's general thoughts on trading

mr roboto, I'm afraid coin-tossing example isn't good, trading is not that simple. Its possible to calculate probabilities in coin-tossing, while in trading it's impossible. System's "edge"... you can only talk about an edge in the past, edge in the future is uncertain. For example, are you...

    DT-waw's general thoughts on trading

tntneo: I think systematic and discretionary approaches both have advantages and disadvantages. I suspect many systematic traders will turn into discretionary at some point, probably at higher-than-expected drawdown. Trading is a mix of art and science. Both theory and practice ( experience...
