Es profit on 1/4 point can it be done? Part II

I am from NY, I consider myself tougher than most and I have yet to trade with real money. None of the above seem to be a handicap to become profitable in this venue so what is the point of your post?

Es profit on 1/4 point can it be done? Part II

I never was under the impression that it was easy. I do pay attention to all the posts in this thread, and try to learn as much asI can.

Es profit on 1/4 point can it be done? Part II

They could provide more realistic fills for example, more in tune with what is really going on when one trades with real $$$. After all, they call it a sim not a video game where one uses it to prepare for live trading and not to have fun (like when playing video games). The rest involving...

Es profit on 1/4 point can it be done? Part II

I am not a programmer but it seems to me that it would be possible to make sims more in tune with real life trading. Yet for some reason it is not done.

Es profit on 1/4 point can it be done? Part II

AustinP; Thank you for your time and your patience in explaining why my system would not work in real life. I guess if it was that easy, everybody and their mother would be doing it with 500 lots in and out.

Es profit on 1/4 point can it be done? Part II

Thank you for an honest response. Posts like this is what ET shines at. Probably, because of you I just saved a couple hundred dollars. Thank you!:D :D :D

Es profit on 1/4 point can it be done? Part II

If it is not immediate, then how long does it take? also NQ is a different (smaller and thus less liquid) animal than ES.

Es profit on 1/4 point can it be done? Part II

It probably does not. That is why I will try to use Ninja T. today (I was told that NJ mirror the fill mechanics much more realistically) to see how it works out and yes all orders are limit.:D

Es profit on 1/4 point can it be done? Part II

Thank you guys for taking your time to post and once again educate me. Yesterday's exercise was an experiment of sort. I wanted to see if this kind of extreme scalping would be profitable using a sim with real data feed... and it was. Even considering commission, it did generate very handsome...

Es profit on 1/4 point can it be done? Part II

Well folks, after reading and educating myself as much as I could I moved to the last stage of my pre-trading education: Live action on a sim. A couple of weeks ago, I forked over a tidy sum to e signal fellows and finally was playing with real life data. On the brokerage side, after analyzing...

Futures Broker - One price unlimited fills

No not yet. I was curious to find out if such set up exists. I think one can lease a seat on the exchange or even buy it but that is major $$$$$$. As for leasing, it is less than $1500 a month and then you can trade any amount of futures for $50/day. This is what I have gathered so far. Any...

BofA issues CCs for illegal immigrants

I echo your sentiments 100%. It is a myth that illegal immigration is beneficial to the US. Maybe to some businesses which do not want to pay their workers fair wages, but have no problem charging full price for their products as if it was produced by unionized workers. In the long run we as a...

Futures Broker - One price unlimited fills

Is there a futures broker that will charge a set amount for unlimited fills for one of the following: ES, NQ, ER2? Example: $1000 a month for unlimited fills in ES?

Gotta love ZERO RISK in the SP500 = $$$

Hey T2800, we would love to see your #s in the P/L section. Somehow, you posts appear all over ET but there. Probably because you are a REAL trader and it is beneath you to do so, or perhaps like in your sex life, there is nothing to show for? Since you are so forthcoming with suggestions...

    *Simulated* Trader P/L 2007

I think that Open E cry has the best platform for executing orders. It is simple, easy to navigate and I am happy with it. Did not like IB platform, just could not get comfortable with it.
