    The Time Has Come !

Sorry, I missed that part. Risk Reward that I am looking at is going for 2 points either way.

    The Time Has Come !

Thanks for wise words. Yes I am aware that 50 contracts is a lot of money on the line. However, I just do not see myself doing it for peanuts forever. I think if one has the capital AND the knowledge combined with market experience, one should use it. As for the answer to that 20K question...

This is precisely the kind of answer I was looking for. diminutive and to the point. Thank you.

    The Time Has Come !

I have not read those three books, but I have gone over other publications. While they look interesting, I am sure they are not indispensable when it comes to learning the foundations. Moreover, you missed the original question posted on this thread.

    The Time Has Come !

With the 1 ES contract - as often as my set up allows me to make money. I it is once every 30 minutes then that what it will be. If it is once every 2 hours then ... you get the drift. With 50 contracts - I would probably limit the amount of RT's and only concentrate on those set ups that are...

Advice you wish you had gotten in your early 20s

My 2c: 1. Stay healthy, you will miss it, once it is no longer there. 2. Be positive in life. 3. Figure out what it is that you like to do and then do it. 4. Do not postpone joy. 5. Listen to advice others give. 6. Respect yourself and respect your elders. 7. Travel and see other people...

    The Time Has Come !

Thank you for the reading material. As a matter of fact, I was loking for some new publications to devour. However, I would like to get some personal answers based on trading experience from the ET crowd.

    The Time Has Come !

You are right, but I need to stay motivated and "jumping the gun" like this helps me stay focused. I guess, this is howI keep my eyes on the prize. You are 110% right that first and foremost I must become profitable with 1 contract for a long period of time. However, assuming I can achieve that...

    The Time Has Come !

This is precisely what I am trying to find out, namely; How much is enough according to people frequenting ET.

    The Time Has Come !

After studying "IT" for a little bit over a year, I have finally decided to wet my feet in "real water" and next week is my last one trading on the sim. I have decided to deposit 6K into a trading account and begin my education - Level II chapter. This is my tuition and I am willing to "donate...

Gotta love ZERO RISK in the SP500 = $$$

[ The key is to understand just where you are in the forest, and what kinds of trees you are looking at. Are you looking at Redwoods, Douglas Firs, or Pines? Are you focused on the grove, the tree, or the branches, or even a shorter-time frame such as the bark? A reliable set of indicators...

    *Simulated* Trader P/L 2007

Another great day money wise but strategy was not what I planned. I guess I have to blow my paper account to finally understand that what I am doing is dangerous. Therefore, despite a very good week, as a matter of fact probably the best I ever had, I decided to stay on the sim for another week...

    Pump and Dump

Let's see will the big players pump the ES up and then by 3:00 start the deflating?????? I say that's the name of the game, at least for this Friday. :D :D :D Naturally the timing may be off, but the general idea is to pump and dump, then rinse and repeat.:D :D

    Lunch Hour Drop like Yesterday???

I hate to quote myself, but I was partially right. My timing was off, but the sell off that happened after hours was very nice. More than 4 points between 4 and 9 this evening. Very decent move.

    *Simulated* Trader P/L 2007

Very good day today moneywise but my strategy was not there. I booked $5300, but I traded like I had $250.000 and not the projected 6K I am in a process of transferring. For some strange reason I cannot maintain my discipline when I trade only 1 contract. I enter risky trades and get into sloppy...
