The 1/4% won't ever pass, even 1/10th% wouldn't pass... but 0.005% may pass and while it would make things exponentially more expensive, it would not in my opinion ruin daytrading other than millisecond traders. Ultimately I'm still in the camp that no tax of the sort passes.

For those bullish Nat Gas and have subsequently bought UNG have been burnt and there is way too much going with the CFTC overhang and all the other crap. Don't underestimate this. Even though it's unlikely, it's up to us to fight this and fight this in a big way. If this is passed, the majority of us basically just got a pink slip and I don't know about you but I'd like to be putting food on the table next year still.
