    ES Journal - 2021/2022

MasterPu: I think we're seeing the market similarly right now. My assumption is rally of June/July lows was significant and the recent decline was just a correction. I started feeling bullish again at the end of last week. If this is the case, rally is going to be big. Interesting video...

Regardless of your trading time frame, understanding the big picture trend / momentum of the market should be of interest.

    Get Long Now

Market is climbing a wall of worry here. No one believes the market can go up. Total contrarian play here which I agree with. Very possible we're starting wave 3 of this bull move off the summer lows, in which case, buckle up. S&P 3900 is your line in the sand.

POST Some CHART Images in THUMBNAIL Format Right Here, Baby.

I didn't know anyone was still following bitcoin cash. I was following it in 2018 when Craig Wright and Roger Ver were all in on it but kinda lost interest when they went in different directions.

    Overbought/oversold

I don't think there is one indicator that is good by itself. To MacBookPro's point, there is an art / craft to this game.

Prove to me that Technical Analysis Works.

This is SO true. TA is just a set of tools.

Why Roth IRAs are so valuable...

I did a Roth conversion a few years ago. My current employer now offers Roth 401 which does not have income restriction on being able to contribute. I'm maxing that now.

    ES Journal - 2021/2022

No doubt. What's already "known" is already factored into the market. I actually created a few "market laws" which I talk about when I teach behavioral finance -- one of them is essentially this -- If you can't find a reason for the market to go up, then it has to go up.

Prove to me that Technical Analysis Works.

 I agree 100%. I use TA exclusively and have the CMT designation but what I do looks nothing like what anyone else is doing in public. But even once you get a good TA approach, you have to make sure your mindset is right -- because you can end up getting in your own way.

Prove to me that Technical Analysis Works.

The reality is most TA, in isolation, is useless. And that's why you get people claiming that TA is garbage. I view TA as just a set of tools. The right tools, at the right time, in the right combinations, may give someone an edge on how to "read the tape" but very few people get to a level...

    Series 65 benefits vs. drawbacks

Agreed -- definitely not taking anyone other than accredited / qualified if I go that route but again, not sure I even want that burden. My analysis is pretty good for quarterly / monthly positions so I think that is where it might provide value to another fund -- would have kept a lot of folks...

My covid, parent dying, and getting back into trading (eventually).

Sorry to hear about you and your dad. You shouldn't feel bad about taking time off from trading / the markets, and it's probably best given your current state and what you're going through with your dad. Don't put a timetable on it -- just take one day at a time. And when you're feeling up...

    Series 65 benefits vs. drawbacks

Keep me posted on your progress. I took the Series 65 a while back when I had my own RIA firm and I was also an IAR of other RIA firms. Lately, I've also been considering a possible fund, etc. but really don't feel I have the mental bandwidth to deal with compliance issues so mainly exploring...
