Fed To Raise Rates At Next Meeting

I could care less how many "bubbles" they create, as long as I'm making money. If the fed "bubbles" itself perpetually I will be equally as pleased. BTW, you throw the term bubble around very loosely on these boards. What exactly will be the next "bubble"?

French car sales up 8.1 percent in March

I would expect this trend to continue globally (not 8%, but growing auto sales). We are seeing improvements in the auto sector in many different areas.

The Dow Jones Performance – Is it Real or a Mirage?

Self-attribution bias. Those who are wrong about the markets blame forces that are out of their control (i.e. bad luck, MARKET MANIPULATION). Those who are right about the markets believe it is because of their own doing as opposed to forces that are out of their control. This applies to...

Fed To Raise Rates At Next Meeting

The rate of inflation right now is NOT EVEN CLOSE to anything that would warrant a rate hike...you are so far off the mark.

Fed To Raise Rates At Next Meeting

There is no way they can raise rates right now. At the very least they will need to see some signs of inflation before ever raising rates...

Fed To Raise Rates At Next Meeting

So your thread title "Fed to Raise Rates At Next Meeting" is nothing more than your own personal opinion? Tell me, why does the fed need to raise rates right now?

I love when egotistical posters are humbled.

    Ford is living in denial?

I'm not sure if Ford is that big of a POS, actually. They clearly are better managed than GM/Chrysler and have been for some time, as evidenced by their relative position to their peers. I think the biggest travesty in this whole auto mess would be if Ford suffered business-wise by NOT...

Northwestern Mutual Makes First Gold Buy in 152 Years

It is certainly possible. But I personally believe the risk/reward on the bet these guys made right here is not very favorable.

    • Prepare for the worst

Markets can go up with bad news and down with good news, you are correct. All rallies come to an end which you are also correct about. Unfortunately for you, all crashes also come to an end using the same theory. You just haven't given up to the fact that the crash has ended. (When I say...

When will the S&P make new all-time highs?

Just out of curiosity, what companies are you referring to when you say "Fed and government have pumped the entire economy up with cash and propped up nearly every failing company that should have failed", what companies are you referring to?

    Should't GM price fall off

Buy CAD if you are bullish on oil/resources. It's been soaring vs. USD and expected to hit par by end of the year. I have never traded FOREX so I am not that knowledgeable on the subject but I am believing the hype.

Northwestern Mutual Makes First Gold Buy in 152 Years

My two cents would say they're too late to this party. Gold will likely see some upside still, but I don't think there is enough potential to justify a $400 million commitment at this level.

    Should't GM price fall off

Because I don't like to lose money.

    General Motors and Ford

    1. It IS a non-event...Everyone knew GM would declare bankruptcy today. This is not new news and was priced into the markets long ago. 2. Stock market and the US economy are two totally different things. Just because the US economy stinks doesn't mean the stock market has to and vice versa.

    Should't GM price fall off

Why don't you short it and see what happens?

Who is this opinion columnist for Detroit News, anyways? Being this bearish would certainly make sense if you live in Detroit. In which case I totally understand your views. If you don't live in Michigan, you can lighten up a bit.
