Question to DW and everyone else here, what are the banks that ask the least amount of questions? Are Asian banks any better in this regard? @luisHK, what's your expirience with HK banks, do they often ask you to explain your transactions?

@dw31583 I hear what you are saying. The system allows politicians and their big corp buddies to line their pockets. Maybe I'm idealist, but I still think it is not hopeless. Politics can change, sometimes (or most of the time) it takes severe economic pain to force these changes. Ideas in...

@Mtrader If Governments were well organized and ran efficiently, I would probably agree with you to some extent. However, from what I have seen and read, when Gov gets new sources of income - it doesn't cut taxes for taxpayers or cut some spending programs, it usually finds new (wasteful) ways...

Best Country for Trading (Tax efficiency)

If corporations were forced to pay (higher) taxes - they would pass it in higher prices to consumers, which I don't think consumers/voters would be happy about, since most stuff they buy comes from big corporations. I think long term solution of the problem is reducing debts, reducing...

Best Country for Trading (Tax efficiency)

@Mtrader That's true. Places like Russia, Bulgaria, Montenegro are fun to visit, but I'm not sure they are safe enough if you make decent money. Althou some EE countries like Poland, Czech Rep + maybe Estonia and Hungary seem to be safer in this regard

Best Country for Trading (Tax efficiency)

@luisHK I don't have much info on that, from what I know, it is like you said - it is more difficult and expensive to get PR in SG now. Basically one needs to open business there and hire yourself + 1 or 2 local employees, and from what I understand, turnover/tax from this business has to be...

Best Country for Trading (Tax efficiency)

DW, you mentioned Russia on the list; for anyone making decent amounts of money, I would not recommend living there and reporting big profits to a local taxman. If you make little money, you will be fine there, but large profits will quickly get you noticed by local bureaucrats, who may want...

Best Country for Trading (Tax efficiency)

DW, thanks for your previous reply regarding prenups. I don't think it was mentioned here before, so: 1) In Singapore if you do business thru corporation, they give you discounts: first 3 years it is about 5% tax rate on profits less than SG$ 300k (0% on SG$ 0-100k + 8.5% (17%/2) on SG$...

DW, could you please elaborate on which of these entities are the best for day-trading company? Also few pages ago you mentioned that LLC can be useful in prenup arrangement. Could you be more specific? Sorry to bother you with all these questions, I'm quite ignorant in all of this. Been trading...

Best Country for Trading (Tax efficiency)

Guys, thanks for advice! As of now, my trading system is not coded, and even if I do code it, looks like there will be other issues like reliability / security of servers located in tax havens, not to mention possible misunderstanding with tax authorities, as Mtrader pointed out. (I wonder if...

Best Country for Trading (Tax efficiency)

Mtrader, I completely agree with you, I wouldn't play with some tax schemes that are not 100% legal. Still, if there are legal ways to minimize / eliminate taxes, why not? I'm sure most people getting info from this thread are smart enough to confirm it with tax authorities, before acting upon it.

@dw31583 DW, thank you for such a detailed reply! You are quite knowledgeable on the subject, do you have a formal education in this field by any chance? You mentioned you could be reached by PM for more details, but as a new member I can't receive or send PMs yet. In regard to trading robot...

Best Country for Trading (Tax efficiency)

@dw31583 Hey DW, have you found solution yet? Btw, thanks a lot for sharing all this useful info, it is very generous of you. I wonder about this set up: - buy or rent a server in a tax-free jurisdiction - run your trading robot on it - hire some local to "control and manage" it (like feed...
