    The Oil Bottom Trade

Well it looks like we got that news catalyst today. I wonder if anyone thinks its coincidence that it happend after hitting my support level to the tick... not in the slightest. I see it happen day after day. Next resistance at 62.33 and then 64.00. If it can get above that, were off to...

    The Oil Bottom Trade

I agree, its at its max point before invalidating this major S zone. I think it holds here until it gets a news catalyst. Im just pointing out how you can trade this amazing risk reward without blowing out. I think its hilarious how people make these calls and say its never getting above so...

Ok, crude retested friday's low and rallied immediately. The trade is now active, and you should be long 1 unit....

Best stock as we head into the holidays?

Only use practical wave anaylsis, most ellioticans blow up. Its just part of my toolbox, and when used correctly can have very high reward, low risk with good probability trades. Yes, anything could go up or go down. My point is if you wanted to trade this I would wait for to break above...

    The Oil Bottom Trade

I just thought I would start an oil bottom thread with these calls becoming more popular on ET. Not only is it a bottom call but it is also a way to trade it, which is the only way I think calls should be made. Take the trade at your own risk. I personally will not be taking this trade as it...

targets and stops on ER2, YM, NQ

There are certain market dynamics within the ER that I dont see changing for a while. I have been very successful using fixed targets and stops on the er for awhile now. But that confidence also came from spending hours and hours of backtesting my entries and exits over a couple years of data...

Best stock as we head into the holidays?

Here is some analysis on SIRF. Just completed a 5 wave move down and is now just finalizing an ABC correction. The Key zone is the pink box. If it can break above that it will retest the highs, due to a failed abc. I see sirf pulling back around here or maybe a bit higher into the pink zone...

Why don't more people trade index futures?

ditto to what Austin P says. Just be careful in er2, if you dont have an edge and strict discipline you will be wiped out in no time. Its the best bang for you buck, hands down, I just wish there was bit more volume.

Why don't more people trade index futures?

You forgot commission and slippage on those numbers.... Probably something more like 7 or 10 million, especially with ES fills. heh

    Picking Tops.

It depends what time frame you are trading. I can give you 60-70% odds everyday on an intraday top or bottom. When you say top, I am guessing that you are referring to say a 10% correction or so which would require analysis on a weekly chart. Here it is...

Why don't more people trade index futures?

Someone mentioned that most index volume is programs and professional particapants. This couldnt be more true. Index futures are the hardest to trade because IMO they give the best potential for making money, and the best lifestyle. Its a no brainer that it would be very competitive with...

    Anyone here like HSI ??

Anyone want to comment on brownsfan questions? I have watched the HSI on IB through ninja a few times... the chart seems at least 2 or 3 minutes delayed. Doesnt seem like it would be tradable through the IB data feed. Anyone else experience this?

    S&P has topped for 2006

There are ways to make a top call. Risk 1% of portfolio max, trade it with a 2-4 pt stop and let it run for a homerun. If your wrong, you should most likely reverse and you will make it back in your next 1 or 2 trades. Dont wait for market to drop 10-20 points, go short and start adding more...

    Naif's Trading

Keep up with the development. You could also try to get some capital from others so you are not on the brink of closing out on every trade. Just keep up with the performance and backtesting and when you finally do have the proper capital to trade it you will be light years ahead. You should...

    S&P has topped for 2006

Tomorrow should be interesting. This market is prone to a decent correction now. Either that or keep grinding up to 1400-1425. There is a massive brick wall in that area.

    S&P has topped for 2006

You think a 3 point spike in 5 seconds is from strong buying... you need to catch up on market mechanics... stops are hit and then buying can come in.

    ER2 liquidity

Today was the lowest volume in er2 in over 2 weeks, so that could explain some extra slippage. I trade in 15-30 lots, but never during lunch because of the liquidity. I dont generally deal with to many problems, but its damn frustrating to get printed on an exit, no fill and get stopped out...
