Is it possible to make $50 to $70 per day with a 4K account in YM ??

GTS, It occurs to me that a reason you probably would not be able to day trade markets is because you trade while you're working your job. Your attention is split between two different things. Trading isn't your job, it's your hobby. The markets will move against you during the moments...

    So I've "invented" an indicator

You can trademark it. You don't have to give it out though. Mark Cook's Cumulative Tick Indicator is trademarked, but no one except him knows how it works.

    My selling options strategy. *Newbie*

You can't protect against that drop with selling naked options. Selling naked options means you are waiting for time value to decay, so you hold overnight. If a 5% overnight drop occurs you're out of luck. If you try to limit the risk, you're no longer selling naked options.

Is it possible to make $50 to $70 per day with a 4K account in YM ??

The best independent traders are independent for a reason. They like the freedom it brings, and they aren't well known. Read a few Market Wizard books. But if the trader is really exceptional, if you gave them millions they could do well with that as well. (ie Mark Cook) Comparing...

Is it possible to make $50 to $70 per day with a 4K account in YM ??

Institutional Performance is not an argument, since they handle at least 10 million with primary focus on risk management. This means no leverage at all. A personal account has a different capability when it comes to trading percentages. Everything is available to you and slippage is minimal...

    My selling options strategy. *Newbie*

There's no real edge in selling naked options. I have found a use for covered calls in swing trades where essentially I figure I would sell anyways.. that way I'm getting paid to wait :)

Multiple long butterflies into earnings (goog)

I agree.. it's a bit excessive. Why not just buy some puts and turn it into a long strangle/straddle

Anyone else predict a larger correction coming?

I predict a larger correction coming, but it could be anytime within the near to immediate time frame. It really depends on the catalyst.

DNDN tripled in 1 month, high IV; how to play?

Yeah, it's true DNDN could go up further like the XNL case you brought up. I wouldn't trade anything related to DNDN simply because I don't have the experience or setups needed to capitalize on it. If you're unsure, should always stay out of the trade. I'll tell you what I would do though if...

I'm considering selling those OTM April Calls... if the IV dies down it would be money

It can be done, my mentor did it. Not all companies will let you do it however. It's a great idea, especially since you're paying interest to yourself.

    Tradertim blog anyone read?

I read that blog everyday. You know what? He can't predict the market, who the hell can? He sets a stoploss on everything, so he got stopped out. Don't rely on others for everything.
