I use to but not anymore. Options don't have margin. Come to think about it I wonder why not. It would be nice if you can trade 4x the buyer power where the max loss is limited to the price paid.

No, but if a stock has 10% volatility it can move much further than that. I've been screwed many times using margin even when the stock swung 10% or less against me the loss was too much to handle and I ended up chasing losses and blew my account. It's more about the mental aspect.

It depends on what you trade. Using margin on a megacap stock like AMZN that only moves 1% on avg daily makes sense. Trading margin on any stock that can swing 10%+ more a day would be a stupid idea.

Don't think so, their platform is still very basic. They don't even provide trailing stop loss and if your trading options not even a normal stop loss is functionable. Use to be 79.99 for zeropro which was unacceptable but they lowered the price a bit.

Have you tried setting the Time of force to GTC? It works on tradezero but I can't say anything for other brokerages.

Yes, I think you've to own shares in order for a trailing stop loss alert. Regular alerts at certain price I can just do that on tradezero.

I don't know how to write code and I doubt they can be integrated on my broker api. (If they even have such a thing.) I use tradezero and their platform is not advance. The only half-ass solution I can come up with is to just buy 1 share on my IBKR broker and set a trailing stop that alerts me...

Well I am Canadian and have a tradezero account. The rule was made after I opened an account with them. I suspect, they're trying to limit accounts. Their platform is always laggy due to server overload.

Use to be suretrader but they went out of business. Tradezero still has PDT rule if you live in the USA.
