IB no interest on first 10K rule, what do you do with the money?

I always knew that interest is factored in futures price (currency futures for example), but just thought that it's different with SSF (I have no experience with them and not very much with stocks too) when people say that it's the way to make synthetic interest... So it's not possible with...

IB no interest on first 10K rule, what do you do with the money?

I didn't quite understand too. Does it mean around 5% no risk yield on ALL money with 20% margin? If so doesn't it mean a possibility of maxing out a margin and getting 25% no risk yield the same way? Sounds too good to be true...

What kind of techniques do heavy scalpers use?

Well, I can't say that I am not profitable. I consistently am in those areas of the market which I understand. But know that it can be better and decided to get as much knowledge about such valuable information streams as DOM and volume filtered T&S. You're absolutely right that often we...

What kind of techniques do heavy scalpers use?

LOL, I 've read many Jack's posts and finally read them without dictionary. :) But didn't see this one, it is very interesting, thanks Spyder!

What kind of techniques do heavy scalpers use?

Yes I remember we talked and you even let me enter your room and see you trade. It was very informative and I really appreciate your efforts in helping me. But one problem still remains: I don't understand the mechanics of interacting forces which cause these changes in DOM and more...

What kind of techniques do heavy scalpers use?

That's exactly why I became interested in scalpers like hero of your article. To better understand what such players do and apply this knowledge to my own intraday swing trading. Doing what they do is definately not for me, I am not very fast in all aspects of my life. :)

What kind of techniques do heavy scalpers use?

Brett and Murray - Thanks a lot for valuable hints! Will begin to pay special attention to T&S and DOM for large sizes. Happy Holidays! Janis

What kind of techniques do heavy scalpers use?

I did and in general I understand how DOM acts and how it can be a base of trading decisions. Just would be great to see a real example of a trade. Guess these patterns must be simple, cause trader has seconds to react, but I have never seen an example of such trade. I really try to...

What kind of techniques do heavy scalpers use?

After reading the following article: http://traderfeed.blogspot.com/2007/04/marc-greenspoon-visit-with-world-class.html I got curious, how do guys like him trade 50-100 or even more RT's a day? I mean their setups should be really simple and not require much analysis and at the same...

    are the futures opened friday?

I also have a question to everyone regarding all these short trading days etc. What OHLC data you'll use on Monday to view gaps, calculate pivot points etc. Today (Thursday) or this short tomorrow?

Return on Investment up to 299% in 2 days, can you do that?

Aladinaus is right that risk/reward of the tournament is good enough, so you can bet 5K, leverage it up to the limit, put say 3:1 TP/SL even with random entry and still have a huge positive expectancy, cause if you lose, you lose just your 5K, but if you win, you not only make 300% profit on...

Return on Investment up to 299% in 2 days, can you do that?

If they can do it with proper risk management (say no more than 2% risk per trade), then yes, they are real genius. But something inside me tells me these guys just take enormous positions and have a luck of these positions to go in their favour. :)

    Gurus Trading Their Own Systems?!

Interesting, how much would people be willing to pay for daytrading signals for ES which average 7-10% profit per month? Can't decide how much to charge. :D

    Gurus Trading Their Own Systems?!

Don't know if I am good or not, but more or less consistent, enough to live off that and think that selling signals is really not bad idea, considering it'll take just several extra minutes per day. Just never before seriously thought that there are really many people around willing to pay...

    Gurus Trading Their Own Systems?!

Hmm... There is a seed of truth in these words. Maybe it's really worth to start selling some signals at Collective2 or place like that? Will make a couple of extra bucks and maybe even become a guru! :D Spectra, how much does your Alex make from your Puretick?

    90% Profitable Setup

Last weekend I was bored and took a look at Puretick's video about this so much talked about MaxSpan. What did I see? Nothing more than simple ORB with 40pt stop and 10pt initial target. What did I think about that? I don't see any problem at all around this system. Assuming a risk of 4...

Not all trading tools are software. Mirror is a valuable trading tool also!

Thanks a lot! Being a nutcase is much better than being an online freak with homosexual inclunations (no offence to homosexuals at all). :) But still, did anyone experience the same "miracle of the mirror" like me? It's a first mystical experience in my trading career (trying to play a role...

Not all trading tools are software. Mirror is a valuable trading tool also!

LOL! I knew that conspiracy theory is one of the favourite subjects to discuss here at ET but never thought that everything is THAT BAD. :D What stops me from being a latvian and living in Russia? ;)

Not all trading tools are software. Mirror is a valuable trading tool also!

Answer is very easy: I am latvian by nationality and in Latvia (BTW, in Greece too, for example), Janis is male name. Just because of "J" it sounds like a female name in english, though actually pronounced as "Yanis". I never was an online freak trying to hide behind an online "alter-ego". :)
