    top performance through undertrading ?

http://robbinstrading.com/worldcup/standings.asp Don't forget in 97 Larry's daughter took the prize with a 1000% return. I suspect daddy helped a bit. :D I'm not sure I understand how exactly the contest works. Do you put up the $15k or is it paper traded? The commish btw is $15 (+$10 for...

Good Chance market near a short term low.

Before you start quoting "jackbyrd", he should go to an elementary English gramm. class. Its either: "Your arrogance seems to be only superceded by your ignorance, dear sir." or: "Your arrogance only supercedes your ignorance, dear sir." Re the content of the mangled sentence...

dgabriel, from reading some of jackbyrd's previous posts its obvious he's another of the hundreds of aliases of the same moron (ayk, rubber, etc.) so he's on ignore and invisible to me. In any case, anyone remember this? http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=53881

    Inflation and corporate profits

This is a very common fallacy. Actually the growth rate of real earnings is relatively constant...implying that nominal earnings go up and down with inflation. As a result what tends to happen is the mkt becomes 'cheap' in periods of high inflation and 'expensive' in periods of low inflation...

    Getting Rid Of Ego

There is a zen state which is wanting without wanting. Its not mere rhetoric. Its like when you want that brunette hottie, but you don't want her that much so you don't blow your chances. Good trading should be like that. You want it, but at the same time you're detached enough to not let it...

hello friends,i'm a new comer and excellent speculator

geo, nihao and welcome to ET. From what you've written so far it seems that you've got a good head on your shoulders. Don't worry about your English - some native speakers here make more spelling/gramm. mistakes than you. :D If you haven't already, check out www.maoxian.com . The Chairman...

    Abuse amongst traders

A lot of it has to do with the level of moderation. If you want a heavily moderated and free board check out woodies cci - the only draw down is that its focus is rather narrow from a strategy point of view. ET on the other hand is much more broad in scope but its moderated much more loosely...

    Liquidation World - LQW (TSX)

Ofcourse the chart looks horrible. That's the whole point. You have a company which has around $45-50 m in inventory and almost no debt with revenues around $180 m selling for less than $30 m !! They made some horrible decisios and had bloated costs but all the bad stuff is already discounted...

Good Chance market near a short term low.

You're using the straw man fallacy. I didn't equate April 03 with Oct 05. I simply pointed out a piece of fund flow data. Any and all assumptions you make are your own and you know what they say about assumptions. I'm just following what the TA tools tell me. What will be will be.

This shoud be good. AMG reports that net flows to equity mf were negative for 7 straight weeks. Last time that happened? April 2003 !! :D

    Liquidation World - LQW (TSX)

I've bought a long term position in this micro play on the Toronto X. Its a very tiny tiny company but I see a lot of value there and can't help but pick some up. I'm not usually a fundymentalist investor but when a whole company is selling for less than their inventory and they have no debt...

    the surf report--part 2

The "potential" is always there for anything. Probability is what matters and what we should focus on. Right now, IMHO the probability of the mkt going up is higher here than it going down.

    Dow 40K?

Huh. What a weird happenstance. Did he give any reasons (rational ones)? I'm interested to know since he eschews TA. I'm mildly conflicted knowing that the clown of cnbc shares my convictions.

I'm trying to recover some old bookmarks: futures commodities charts (can't remember name but had 30 min 60 min etc... for all sorts of commodities) sectors and underlying stocks (had a few for quickly burrowing into sectors and their stocks) Any help appreciated. :)

    Warning: Mozilla & Bookmarks

It is a good idea to back them up...which is why it should be an automatic process within Mozilla - as well it should be possible to recover easier. The fact that it isn't and the fact that Mozilla has neutron bombed thousands of people's bookmarks with no recourse makes it just idiotic on...
