Of course.....it's our "all talk", "no action" government at work.

From Micros to Millions: 2% per day

I have a 2 questions: 1) what criteria did you use to make the decision to quit trading for the day ? 2) when are you going to start trading multiple symbols ?

Yes I am out of the loop....so WTF is wrong with IBKR ? They should have sent-out a special notice or message to all accounts trading futures. I received nothing. Also, why is the CME raising fee rates when volume is so high ? Does anyone know what rates to expect at a foreign exchange like the...

Huh ? Fees are independent of circuit breakers. Previous ES/NQ fee was $1.15 per side....now $1.23.

Wow, that's insane. I think anything over 25% should be flagged. In fact, he should add that figure to his spreadsheet....and track it. At least he's getting a good rate at AMP. IBKR is at $0.90 per R/T. BTW: Did anyone notice that the CME raised exchange fees on ES/NQ 7% ? When did that happen...

Of course.....this is in contrast to intraday swing trading....which can be very challenging....as it requires wide stops. I don't know how he is going to manage that without some sort of automation.....especially if he goes after NQ/MNQ....which I call "The Beast".

From Micros to Millions: 2% per day

Well, I too am now skeptical since I heard he was trading without automation or even semi-automation and that he is 100% discretionary. High frequency trading with no automation doesn't mix well in the long run.

From Micros to Millions: 2% per day

Totally agree. At IBKR, the micros are 50% higher than the full contract.

From Micros to Millions: 2% per day

Well, that has all changed today given these high frequency trading firms making tons of money on scalping trades. JL back then was trading in ancient times....a lot has changed since his time. The key to successful scalping is: 1) using a proven algorithm 2) diversifying by trading several...

From Micros to Millions: 2% per day

Of course not as back then there were no automated trading platforms and commissions were higher as well.

Are the profit numbers after commissions and exchange fees ? Were you able to negotiate a low commission rate with AMP ? What is the percentage of the gross profits that are reduced by commish and fees ? BTW: Your table has an incorrect date....Monday is the 19th, not the 18th.

There were huge volume changes at both 2 pm and 3 pm. See the Red line below. At 2 pm, the market recovered. At 3 pm, the bids evaporated.

On the Bloomberg TV news headlines this week.....the bankruptcy announcements just continue to steadily roll in. Just wait till 2021... I keep watching Dave and Busters (PLAY) wondering how long they can hang in there with sales down 60% YOY.

Look at RTY/IWM move up today. Obviously, there is a rotation into small caps....maybe coming from money pulling out of large techs.

Speaking of financials, with Morgan Stanley's earnings results comes this statement that their bond trading division was a huge money-maker. Are bond prices really moving that much ? Certainly not Gov't bonds. They must be dealing in corporate high yield and junk bonds, right ?

    ES Journal - 2019/2020

Well, now it's apparent......the Fed didn't take away the punch bowl, but Pelosi did. Add to that a second wave of corona virus and this is just a perfect storm to support the Democrats for a big win in November. So now it looks like we are not going up till the election.
