    Jokes

A group of kindergartners was trying to become accustomed to the first grade. The biggest hurdle they faced was that the teacher insisted on No baby talk! "You need to use 'Big People' words," she was always reminding them. She asked Chris what he had done over the weekend? "I went to visit...

Would anyone like to give me a computer?

You haven't traded until you take an old PONG game and ported the chipset into tws. Then you can have one paddle for your upper limit price and one for the lower entry. The bouncing ball is the bid or the offer (if you're trying to go long or short) and you try to deflect it into your account...

    shorting this market today...

ETF = exchange-traded fund. QQQ SPY DIA etc No uptick for shorting. Same for the iShares (HOLDRs) SMH BBH etc. They make for quick short entries when the market's dropping fast and you can't get filled on stocks.

Going down with the ship ...

Going down with the ship ...

. . . especially when they're being offset by bigger losses :D Traders CAN go broke taking small profits. You need the occasional big winners to offset the small stop-outs that are inevitable. It's a tough urge not to book that 1 or 2-point ES profit just to "get a winning trade in the...

    Charles Schwab suggestion to Bush

True, there's no 3k loss limitation in MTM trader status, since it's not a capital loss but an ordinary income loss.

Would anyone like to give me a computer?

I picked up a good used USB scanner for 5.00 at a local charity outlet store. All it needed was a power cube which I already had and it works. Not a bad way to fiind some gems.

Would anyone like to give me a computer?

Until recently, I've been trading on a Timex/Sinclair 1000 along with my b/w tube Philco 12" TV set. Works great! Problem is, when the family wants to watch TV they can't. The reel-to-reel data storage gets a little cumbersome at times, too. I just got a state of the art Trash-80 Model 1 and...

    Charles Schwab suggestion to Bush

Which is exactly why they intend to leave things as is. How many elderly people will never fully deduct their investment losses from 2000-02? Bastards.
