Whatever is left of my trading account after shorting today's rally says we don't break above it convincingly. It will probably mark the short term top of this overdone rally. Longs just wait until tomorrow's GDP numbers come in at -3.5%. That will crush the recent rally.

A hedge fund can do it. Perhaps even an individual speculator on a low volume time with a non major.

Should've held my longs. Oh well hindsight is 20/20.

The YM is great for trend trading. Both contracts follow each other closely but I think the YM trends better than the ES. You will also save a fortune on spread costs. I never liked trading the ES intraday because you are instantly down 12.5 X however many lots you bought/sold + commissions...

The 6E is a speculators dream instrument. Expensive ticks, low margin, big range and trend. If you go from trading index futures to /6E you will probably be glad you made the switch. There is lots of coin to be made in this market, just be careful to set your stops before and NOT move them.

Look into buying 1000 oz bars. That is about as cheap over spot as you can buy silver. If you want to own physical you have to pay up. It is a very different thing buying a derivative versus actual physical with fabrication, distribution, and warehousing costs.

If you are new to trading futures the tendency is to scalp. But if you scalp you will oftentimes find yourself taking bad/low probability trades. Scalping is great until a scalp with a couple tick profit target goes bad and you are forced to book a huge loss.
