Let's put ourselves in Spydertrader's shoes for a moment. Did he see anyone trade live, or a video, before or during the same journey we are on? If the answer is no, then why must anyone else? If the answer is yes, then did it futher him along or possibly slow him down? -Mike

I have one question for you, if this does NOT happen are you going to stop teaching yourself this method? -Mike

During debrief, one may see a tendancy to either be late or early executing an action. See what tools can help timely action. Are the tools being used correctly? At the proper time? Any tool other than just the ES chart helps to get the timing more 'precise'. How long is it taking to...

Ahhh, This is a key question and one that is best answered by debriefs. I record each day's action, both the charts and my executions. Latter that night I review and try to see where I can improve. Debriefing is critical to success. It is done away from the emotions of the market and I can...

Sorry guys, I just bought a seat on the CBOT and tripped over some wires trying to get to it. So in the meantime I just noticed a print on T&S at 14:53:54 for 1,101 contracts. Is this Jack using binary signals to other traders? :D Saw this the other day: There are 10 kinds of people in...

From icarus618 a year and half ago, I love the name (FP3), remembered this while 'waiting' for a pt 3 down that didn't come.... ....i have a pet name for my favorite wtf sequence: failure to pt 3... ...But let's look closer at the FP3. A failure to pt 3 is a BO. It is a BO from a DU where...

Great question Mak, and one I've asked myself many times. What if one morning Spydertrader said, "That's it, not posting anymore, gonna live my life, cya." At first I felt a little nervous, then realized all has been provided and I may have to work a little harder to find answers. During...

A more pertinent question for you Bob is, why was your first 'trade' of the day during lunchtime? We all have been taught this is the most risky part of the day. Thanks for the chart, I'll review it although it isn't for the whole day. Do you have the full day's chart? -Mike

I don't remember being 'taught' how to trade, yet. Remember these posts from last week (9/6/07)? We are trying to help, but you gotta help us out too and give us something to work with here. You 'peeked' at the YM. Why are you so concerned about the money and not granting 'our' one...

OK, missed this, thought the arrow was your FTT, but what is (my entry) all about? We aren't to this point yet. Why 'change' your realtime annotations? It helps me to review what I was thinking at the time if I leave all my 'mistakes' on the chart. -Mike

Bundle, You are welcome for the tango, .... as long as I can lead :) Please post your complete chart for end of day and the YM also if you are going to use it too. I will have time after market close to review and use Photoshop to place corrections along with text. I too learned how to...

OK, just remember you asked.... Your chart so far is incomplete. The annotations for the most part are not correct. There is a FTT that is labled wrong. Check Mr. Black's chart from earlier, it is much closer to what I have. A few days ago, 'we' asked you to post only the ES chart...

Ok, now we are getting somewhere. So what if you don't know until bar's end, hell when I started I didn't know til the channel ended! So start working with what you do know on the ES only for now and lets see a chart tomorrow. -Mike Edit: Spyder, if this is too OT for the journal I...

I think he means the 'correct' end of the bar. Or the earlier the better once 'change' is recognized. If one is 'late' or 'not timely' in identifying 'change' and then executing a 'late' trade, one can get real behind, real quick. 'Timely action' means exactly that; but on different...

Spydertrader's Jack Hershey Futures Trading Journal

Ok, answer one question - on the ES only, do you 'see' continuation and change? No other tools - forget them. Forget the 'rent money' and 'testing' for now. These only hinder the training. If you aren't 'seeing' it on the YM I'm not sure you're 'seeing' it on our coarsest tool - the ES...

Sad that a turn in the journal has lead to this, and on an appropriate page number. I'm one for putting this behind us and getting on with the task at hand. -Mike

I show that bar being a volatility expansion and therefore cannot have inreasing red volume. Even the YM at the same point shows increasing price. I see increasing black, followed by decreasing red during that bar for the start of a retrace to a steep RTL. -Mike
