I never pay any attention to news. I actually lengthened my time frame in trading so that I could minimize its effect. Has worked wonders thus far.

What a move to wake up to. I just took profit. I wonder if I would have been able to get all of this move if I was awake. Probably would have taken profit premature.

Honestly keeping a notebook of my trades and thoughts at the time was one of the steps that turned me into a profitable trader. Keeping the notebook organized was the hard thing.

If I were to play it I would wait for a bearish break, then go short. Cover on fill.

I have a specific method I use for trading cad/usd and aud/usd. Heavily involves the taylor method. Take a look at his book. Its much shorter term but you might find it interesting.
