Why did ZB move while ZN did not?

ZB will almost always move in greater proportion to the 10 year because of it's longer duration.

    Why is inflation so low?

Yes, health insurance will spiral out of control in the next several years. Most companies now have a "reason" to drop health insurance and force everyone onto the exchanges. There will be subsidies for some, but even those that get some subsidies aka welfare, there they will come out far...

Half way through life and not close to being consistent

But he doesn't so all that matters is whether or not he's comfortable with the living retail trading provides.

Half way through life and not close to being consistent

Does your wife work? How have you done prior to the last couple of year? I'm near your age with a stay at home mom for a wife and 3 kids. I have a career to pay the bills. I'm profitable but would need at least 3-4 times what I currently have in capital to try to support my family on just...

Half way through life and not close to being consistent

Ya hindsight is the best :) I wasn't trying to be a dick but the equity trend has been so robust and with the Fed telegraphing their intentions it seems like the worst market to try to short. Eventually it will revert but how do you time it when all past experiences are now off the table with...

Half way through life and not close to being consistent

So what is your trading strategy? Hopefully your handle isn't an indicator of your plan. Why are you short in a market that's been going up and up with the Fed injecting massive liquidity?

    How High?

I think we are close to starting our summer swoon before climbing to new highs again this fall. Sometime between next spring and the following we get another blood bath ala 07-08

    But what about copper ?

Agree. I'm still looking for a slight correction but a little deeper than this little blip but we will see.

Goldman Sachs says nobody is trading, inactive trading environment is "abnormal".

Whaaaaaa, poor Goldman Sachs. I guess they don't see the same trading environment that they did when they routinely bragged about never having a down day a few years back.

Why is average salary only $800 a month in Poland?

Why is Poland's median income twice that of Bulgaria or 3x that of Armenia?

    last train leaving station

I think it's short term overbought. I am not sure on the long term however. So far, all signs point to still being in a bull market.

    But what about copper ?

Overbought in the medium term, IMO. I expect pressure to the downside soon.

Most overused words and phrases in trading

Agreed, that's my all time most annoying phrase. Smart money is only smart in hindsight.

Most overused words and phrases in trading

Probably "Let your winners run, and cut your losses short".... Great goal to have but once you solve how to accomplish that one thing operationally, you're a master trader.

Where the World's Unsold Cars Go To Die

Probably because none of their implied predictions ever comes true. Doom, gloom and sensationalism has it's place, but you have to have a track record of being accurate occasionally. They constantly beat the drum that crashes are imminent and we're days away from breaking down into a Mad...

    Windows tablet for futures trading

Interested also. I'm definitely thinking about buying an inexpensive and light weight tablet for trading when I'm on the road. One that is dedicated for only banking and trading. Currently I do not feel safe trading from my lap top that I use for work and web browsing as well.

    Are bonds in a bubble?

From Jeff Gundlach..... http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2014-05-12/gundlach-s-no-normal-means-treasury-yields-defy-market-selloff.html Blame the harsh winter for stifling economic growth or tensions in Ukraine for sparking demand for havens. Jeffrey Gundlach, the star fixed-income...

    Are bonds in a bubble?

Well, it depends on how the Fed uses that reserve currency, but I get what you're saying. I don't see a scenario where bonds deflate AND stocks and real assets deflate because of what you're talking about. The only way I see bonds falling is that stocks and RE continue to rise.
