Half way through life and not close to being consistent

It could be, we just don't know. It's not like all the news is doom and gloom. Plenty of reports are coming out bullish. Either way, I've found that trying to trade fundamentally simply DOES NOT work with anything other than a long term perspective, which seems not to make a lot of sense...

Anyone here trade Sugar #11 futures?

I've been trading and spread trading sugar a fair amount lately. There have been some really good trends in the past year. I trade for hold times of several days to a few weeks. I've done better with outright positions than spreads for some reason. Depends on your style of trading...

Tax cuts reduce revenue - Kansas edition

Of course job creation has lagged. Kansas has a 4.8 unemployment rate compared with 6.3% for the US.

The holy grail has been found

Wow, so this guy figured out that the dollar correlates to the S&P? That's groundbreaking stuff right there.

Central banks shift into shares as low rates hit revenues

Didn't mean to imply that you were picking tops. It's tempting to do, and every time I do it, I remind myself that this thing has far greater odds of continuing than topping with the Fed behind it.

Central banks shift into shares as low rates hit revenues

The stock market can't be slowed down currently. Late day rallies keep pushing this thing higher. A top will eventually happen, but trying to pick when, will make you poor.

Fed looks at exit fees on bond funds

Watch the junk bond funds. When they move below their 8 month moving average, you will know the jig is up. The shit will officially be hitting the fan shortly after that. So far, they keep going up and up and up with no end in sight.

    CME FX products

IMHO, they are vastly superior to spot forex, but I'm sure others disagree

    eurodollar and TED

This is kind of what I was thinking. There's just not much to spread in the short end of the curve right now. I'm sure there are some really smart people that have figured out how to trade that stuff right now, but when I look at a long term chart it doesn't look appealing yet. Once rates...

    sky high inflation coming?

I tend to agree with this. A reasonable debate can be had to figure out if the Fed's policy is smoothing out what would have been a quicker, but more forceful crash, but ultimately the piper must be paid either way.

Get long then. And then get out before they decide to dump their shares :)

Difference between trading and investing? According to Kiyosaki or you?

Anyone reading Kiyosaki for trading/investing advice loses all credibility instantaneously

Dipsters, the time has come to BTFD.

This thing has some decent room more to go on the downside IMO. I certainly am not ready to call a top or whatever, but I see the S&P dipping to at least the 1880-1870 range before it bounces. Just my humble opinion.

    sky high inflation coming?

Why do the inflationistas always point to a time 100+ years ago when person owned 1-2 pairs of shoes as the "golden age" of capitalism? Go look at how much a pound of coffee or a pair of shoes or a trip to the doctor cost 100, 200, 300 years ago....

    Why is inflation so low?

Yes indeed. Emerging markets continue to want to manufacture stuff inexpensively. They are deathly afraid of letting their currencies rise for fear of losing some of their export market share. As long as they continue to finance our consumption, I'm not sure there will be much inflation at...
