Yes, the Hitachi is an awesome monitor...I have the 17" CML 175SXW B and just looked at my owners manual and I wrote the date down I purchased it and it was 4/29/04.....It has been trouble free from the moment I plugged it in and quite a few people have commented on it...it will be interesting...

They sure don't make it easy to find warranty info...they tell you to look on your invoice when it arrives...I assumed it has 3 yr limited warranty as does my Hitachi 17" LCD that I purchased a year or so ago from MonitorsDirect.Com Here is what it says on Dells site for Monitors...

What you say about the migration is so true...Back in the 70's, I was living in the Ft Lauderdale area....in 86, I decided to move further north due to congestion and bought in West Palm Beach.....Then around 96 I was looking to leave Palm Beach County and was all set to go further north still...
