Today will consolidate yesterday's 3% downward thrust and digest the overnight weakness in the futures maeket yielding a 1% range and closing at about 106 on the SPOOS. We have a range from 1051 to 1065. Next week we chop higher for another thrust down to 1000 in the near future. Deflation.

SPOOS clearly telegraphed a move to 1000 is in the works as a measured move from 1150 to 1075, 1075 to 1000, the probably 860- 900 as bottom for 2010. Time frame? Depends on the news but these are the levels, Low 860 high 1200 for the next 12 months.

Today was an inside day on the US Equity indexes. Up to now the 1st 2 weeks of the months have rallied, but momentum has slowed and now we have an inside day during the move-up. Meaning? I say we break back down 1 or 2 % then back-up before we break harder and lower the 3rd and 4th weeks...

Premium is by and large a late indicator useful for confirming good trades. On occasion it will also be the beginning of a good trade. FWIW you should be in front not behind premium spikes. Cheers

Leaders and Laggards is a good source. When leaders have a significant volume breakout to the upside they are leading---hence the name---other equities whereas laggards lag. Use these combined with voluma x range and voila you almost have a system
