AMAT is not on shortable list at IB. I check every morning to see if the stocks I trade are on the list. If not then I have alternatives, ie KLAC NVLS . Or write in the money calls. It may be back tomorrow, but you got to check the list. Bert:mad:

I think you may not short very much. I sold VZ yesterday and then waited over 4 minutes waiting for an uptick. It filled at 17 cents less than the outright sell. When you are trading a couple thousand shares it DOES make a difference. Bert:confused:

INTC started with a 10 cent spread, and it looked like it ended up with a 3 or 4 cent spread later in the day. Bert:D
