As a CFP, I think it's tough to make the case that options are a suitable investment for anyone. As a hedge, well, they are just another form of insurance, and an un necessary expense. Now if you're in that business, and given those pitfalls, why open yourself up to lawsuits, etc. Not worth...

Depending on what stocks you trade, a per share rate might be better. In my experience, Very few stocks, espeically on nasdaq, do you get filled in full on a single print......you will get 4 or 5 fills, perhaps more on that 1000 share order. Those 1$ tickets add up quick.

And so can everyone esle, that's why I don't think it's that big of an issue going forward. If everyone can see it coming, will it really be a threat?

Nothing wrong with skipping the first fifteen minutes. Trading is about making money.....whatever it takes to meed that end. If that means don't trade the first 15 minutes because you are conistently stopped out, then avoiding those first fifteen minutes is a good idea.

I'm wit' ya! Traded it a few times....but still lost 2 grand. Honor thy stop....it's there for a reason...seems like I have to remind myself of that.

The low tick was .97 on that move.....they busted the .97 and .98 trades....the rest of the $2 move was allowed to stand. Who the hell are these schmucks to decide that those two prints get busted, and everything else stands. Then, what's worse, they get back to you an hour or so later...

It doesn't take a math wiz to do that...just some basic programming skills....probably can figure it out by visiting a few user forums online.

What's the native resolution....I thought it was 2560 x 1600...and if so...doesn't running it at less then that create a less then ideal picture? I have 24's and if I go anything other then 1920 x 1200, the picture isn't' nearly as good....but then again, the picture is awesome, so anything...
