B1S2, I probably should have posted the chart to show you what I was seeing: <img src=http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/attachment.php?s=&postid=1687248 width=800> In addition to the bullinh divergence indicated, the decline predicted by the big H&S top looks like it has been satisfied (head...

Guess that answered my question. :)

Stopped out at 1425.75 for -2.5. Ouch. EDIT: I've been feeling really "in the zone" most of today, but since the Fed thing I'm now feeling like I've fallen out of the zone and am in a state of cognitive dissonance, so I think I'm going to quit for today. Been a great day for both my position...

Too aggressive with my trailing stop here. Stopped out at 1428.50 for +2.75. Was hoping for a much longer ride. Will watch for another station to get back aboard the train. EDIT: Long from 1428.25, small.

    I see Volente's H&S. I don't see Apex's IHS. Of course, I'm not much of a chart pattern reader.

CNBC headline: "Fed sees slower growth, lower inflation next year" Wouldn't that suggest another interest rate cut in December? If so, why isn't the stock market going to the moon right now? If the Fed's appraisal is so benign, I can't help but thinking it's also disingenuous.

I'm looking for up to 40-41, then straight down to Hell. (I hope to go to Hell with it.) EDIT: Damn, it's going there without me. :(

I think you'll be happy with that trade. EDIT: Almost got in there short with you, but I'm chicken of being whipsawed by the Fed minutes release (in 10 minutes, right?).

Tried to get long at 1431 but didn't get filled. I think this double bottom might be the real McCoy. I wouldn't bet on it propelling us much over 1440, however. Rather than chase the market up, I'm more inclined now to wait until it gets there and then go short again. I believe the primary trend...

Great job. As long as you catch the moves I miss and vice-versa, I guess all's right with the world. :)

Out of this at brekeven, momo has stalled. Gonna take a much-needed break.

Well, I took my eye off the ball again. ES fooled me, and didn't make it up to 46; it turned 45 and I didn't get in. FWIW, I see no indication that the downmove is running out of steam, and expect it to further. EDIT: Short 1/2 position from 1439.75.

Gosh, Chris, it sure looked real to me. :) Please don't tell me that all that money I made this morning was just an illusion.

I accidentally missed the downmove from 46.50 to 40.75 (darn), but I'm expecting a retracement to the 46-47 area and then a resumption of the downmove into the 30s. (Of course, I'll continue to trade what I see.)
