Banks are just going to take the 700 billion, give the taxpayers junk and once the banks engorge themselves with this money, they will just hold on to it and not loan anyone anything. Why not instead have the FED open up a special financial entity that will buy commercial paper from companies...

Think about it how many folks are going to start redeeming mutual funds in panic, selling off equities in panic and margin calls forcing stock on the openmarket tuesday. I bet a lot of folks put in sell orders for funds today that will kick off tuesday.

What do you think? 10% drop or more, causing the NYSE to kick in a market halt?
