    Goin' off the rails...

Speculation that some of them will start paying dividends now that the government will not punish them for it.

First smart thing I heard on CNBC this year

Why is it that the really moronic people on CNBC say "bellwether" and "buy and large" all the time?

Why is nasdaq e-mini so "jumpy" today?

I don't think anyone believes that those phenomena are not intended by globex.

    Ib ES quotes messed up

Baron, I would like to recommend this post as the most hilarious one ever!

    Ib ES quotes messed up

True, otherwise why would they cause this "diaplyer problem"?

Best Product for Keeping Monitors Clean

I hardly drink at all anymore.

I use isopropyl rubbing alcohol or ethanol.

    commissions

There's two sides to this coin. I'd much rather pay $.01 per share than 0.1% of the stock value. And IF I ever feel the need to trade LU, I just do it through RJT. By the way, www.interactivebrokers.com is definitely what you should be interested in!

    Money management help

Hey Salmon, I thought I would be the sensation here (a talking lobster), now you are trying to steal my show. Well, so be it. Since you are planning to use a 10 cent stop I have to assume you will want to trade more than 3 times per week. Unfortunately, the PDT rules will not allow you...

Whose right me or Sheldon Natenberg?

Probably the same part of their brains that makes them pay interest on credit card charges for things they don't even want, but "need and deserve".

Do not read if you're in a sad mood

Actually, most people don't actually realize it is the scorpion's genetic programming that makes him sting. They babble about "nature" or "instinct", which is all nice and good, but it doesn't help you see the underlying mechanisms.

Do not read if you're in a sad mood

I guess he is fishing for a compliment, being it that he (as a hard rock) is not usually considered even a life form, yet he posts on ET. Keep up the good work, hard rock!

You got me there. AOL 6.0 is the best AOL ever!

    What do you call yourself?

Look around! This is America! This is 2003. Everyone has something about himself or herself that makes them different from the good-looking well-educated 22 year-old caucasian male, 6'2", 180lbs (all muscles), perfect vision, patience, compassion, unlimited capital (self-earned, obviously)...

Do not read if you're in a sad mood

Very nice. It illustrates beautifully how what we perceive as individuals are merely vehicles (or slaves) of their genes. I can observe that first hand, because I know making a child would likely condemn that child to a life of misery like my own, yet when I see a pair of fat succulent boobies...

    US stock market ultra-long term

Beautiful chart. And that's just the nasdaq, the "mother of bubble". If you look at the dow30 or the sp500 you can hardly see how the bubble allegedly burst at all.

    What do you call yourself?

While that is true, I would also like to point out that in the post you referenced, I was merely trying to call those people morons who make 60k or 80k and think that makes them better than those who make half of that or less. Maybe it would help if I told you that the five people closest to me...

Do not read if you're in a sad mood

That's the beauty of evolution. Of couse it sucks if you are the unfit one, but when I look at the fittest, I can't help but think their lives must suck big time as well.

Do not read if you're in a sad mood

Just today someone called me an idiot. And he was probably right. I don't drive to work and kiss a boss's behind five days a week. I don't get drunk at night or on weekends. I don't go to parties. I don't like to travel. My ideal home would be absolutely quiet and have no carpets and almost...

    US stock market ultra-long term

Is there anyone else here who thinks the last few years were not even the beginning of a minor correction? The DJIA looks like it's just stalling a little, deciding whether to go back to 4000 and possibly lower or shoot up to 15000 or 20000. The more I think about these things the more I...
