Would you like a SMART routing option which ignores ARCA?

Probably retaliation from ARCA, because IB disables the "ECN pass-through fee accumulation" on their ARCA orders.

Would you like a SMART routing option which ignores ARCA?

Just in case anyone is wondering. The two orders I cancelled on ARCA this morning are still pending cancel. I wonder if they will still be here when I turn on my computer on Tuesday. Thank God ARCA is fully electronic. Imagine how long the CLX confirmation would take if ARCA's carrier...

Let's all use software to envelope NYSE and see what happens!!

Exactly! That's why the specialists are so deep in debt and have to walk to work. Remember: The trend is your friend! Cut your losers short and let your winners ride!

Would you like a SMART routing option which ignores ARCA?

This is mainly for IB customers, since IB has always been very accomodating to its customers requests: I personally would almost always use "SMART_WITHOUT_ARCA" for quotes as well as orders, if IB were to bless us with such a routing option. The occasional penny ARCA could make you is...

    ARCA uptime?

Actually, since ARCA doesn't seem to be a temporary problem: def, do you think it would be possible for IB to implement a "SMART_WITHOUT_ARCA" routing option?

    ARCA uptime?

ARCA definitely gets my vote for WORST EXCHANGE EVER. While they have morons braying on TV about speed and liquidity trading the QQQs on ARCA, two of my SMART orders have had the misfortune of being routed to ARCA, where they have been pending cancel for about an hour now.

    NYSE specialist. not all bad

You gotta love it. But if you are really into this kind of trading, you should combine it with those incredibly fast TMBR fills on those incredibly tight spreads you can get through IB. They basically give you back part of your commission by making such a tight and efficient market on all...

    MSFT, EBAY, IBM whacked pre-report

That's fine with me for nasdaq stocks, as long as NYSE listed stocks are forced to trade between $100 and $500.

How to handle 24 Hr Futures Trading

I believe in the market. I believe in me. I use options to hedge the risks in my portfolio. Because it's all about balance.

    def, where TMBR at?

Would you happen to know where the persons who make the TMBR quotes for GE, GM, KO, MCD, etc. are physically located? Or is it just a big computer program?
