    so is this true?

I have a question, if I may. I have never traded FOREX, but I frequently read about the same supposed scam issue time and again. Clearly there are people who are successful at it but if one is so inclined to trade currencies, why aren't more people looking at currency futures? This is not a...

Is there any value in these message boards from a trader's perspective?

Very well put. There are alot of gems buried in the archives of ET, however, like successful trading, you have to sift through the noise in order to find treasure. They both require work and dedication.

Which real live future trading room I should choose?

Wow. I sincerely hope that there are new participants reading this because JR and FB are discussing what could possibly be the most important aspects of the emotional component in trading EFC. Both deserve accolades. +10

What are the advantages of day-trading stocks over futrues?

You're right...and wrong...Lovey. Trending stocks offer less 'noise' than the e mini indexes, but futures offer the opportunity to leverage up without abiding by PDT rules. Unless a person understands where his particular circumstance resides, he is going to get hurt no matter where he places...

    Running Processes problem

Thanks, I did that, and they just terminate as normal. It's almost as if there are phantom IE windows open and I cannot see them. My biggest fear is some sort of back door logger, but AV shows no infractions. Weird.

    Running Processes problem

Recently, when I bring up the Windows Task Manager dialogue box, under the 'Processes' tab, I see several instances of iexplore.exe running even if there is only one internet window open. They appear to be utilizing the appropriate memory consumption and don't affect system performance at all...

Zen Fire data feed in fast market

Good points. Actually, I have run a basic chart alongside one of my own templates and the truth is they both appear to populate at the same speed. So, I guess the question is can it be the data feed itself that is lagging, assuming that NT is building the chart at a satisfactory speed? Yes I...

Zen Fire data feed in fast market

I'm going to add my two cents here, because I also use NT/ZF and it may help others make informed decisions. I currently use a Dell Dimension 8400, 3.4g, 2GRAM that is a few years old at least. Connected to Road Runner in the NYC region and running the following while monitoring both the ES...

    The chArt of Deception

Because I am American, I started reading the chart (pic) on the left, then naturally (as a man) looked at the chart (pic) on the right. While the Rchart seemed exciting and appealing, the Lchart displayed a more natural, truthful persona. It made me realize that there were subtleties I needed...

I think I'm done trying to trade the ES

Mandy, I, as I'm sure many others watch you post real time with clear entries and exits. You take profit and bail at posted targets. Take the high road and keep on truckin'. Kudos.

Conservative and competitive broker with Ninja and Zen-fire

My guess is that a bunch of overleveraged traders on the verge of blowout represent a greater threat to the brokerage house than to your individual account. As an IB, I am sure that it must constantly prove to it's FCM that it is conducting business in a responsible and profitable manner in...

Conservative and competitive broker with Ninja and Zen-fire

If you are only trading futures, I don't see the need to be concerned if a broker offers $500.00 margins. You obviously understand the pitfalls of being overleveraged, so set your own personal margin requirements. IB is sort of a safe haven in the sense that your deposits are insured, whereas...

Specs for a comp used only for charting/data ?

I like the Dell workstation setup and price, and the fact that it comes with XP makes it a solid and dependable machine. You didn't mention which video card you have chosen. Should be more than enough for a dedicated workstation.
