ETF inflows top $1 trillion for first time

Are these inflows numbers available anywhere for free? I think Morningstar published them.

    FB earnings strangle

I thought it would be fun to revisit the FB trade, while nothing is happening on PTON. The lines in the sand held up pretty well through pretty volatile market.

Automated trading with statistical scalping algorithms

Sounds like a Market Making type of system. Can you speak about risk management?

    Alice in Optionsland

Was I glad I didn't choose $990 earlier. TSLA hit $950 for a moment yesterday which was quite a surprise. Closed the short leg early. Hopefully, will get a chance to re-short. Booked PnL: ~$6K DTE on long leg: 45

Gamma scalping with negative transaction costs

For gamma scalping? Could you please elaborate?

Gamma scalping with negative transaction costs

I am obviously not an expert, so this is just my 2c. I don't think anyone can give you this info. It's like asking - for vertical debit spread, what are the best strikes? If you are into back-testing, you could come up with a simple mean reversion strategy (like Bollinger Bands fade) and try...

Gamma scalping with negative transaction costs

Me too, but do you think there is some sort of science in it? Imho, all you are doing is trading a swing mean reversion strategy on the underlying while in long straddle/strangle. What kind of info are you looking for?

    Andy's Less Random Walk

I don’t think it’s quite the same. An order in order book which has been canceled or just added will not be immediately reflected on the price chart. You can choose to ignore this kind of info in your trading (I got no issues with that), but it’s not same data.

Gamma scalping with negative transaction costs

Is this what you have in mind?

Automated trading with statistical scalping algorithms

Good luck! Is your strategy using passive or aggressive orders on entries? Is it realistic to start with 1M account for scalping?

I'm going to mostly cash in Long-Term portfolio

Don’t you need to sell first in order to buy? Are you saying that hedging allows you to lever up during sell offs?
  17. Q

I'm going to mostly cash in Long-Term portfolio

What is the reason for hedging? If you are in a long-term portfolio and believe that markets eventually rebound, then why hedge a temporary draw-dawn (assuming you are not over-leveraged)? I am talking about personal accounts, not managing Other People Money.

Why doesn't Al Brooks use volume analysis concepts?

I don’t know but here’s my guess: lots of PA practitioners claim that their method works for any market. If you integrate volume analysis, that leaves out FX which was/is very popular market. If you tell me that strength of support/resistance is the same whether one or one million BTC traded...

Why doesn't Al Brooks use volume analysis concepts?

You don’t see full volumes in cryptos. For equities, you see volume from all the exchanges. For cryptos you only see single exchange. Maybe there are platforms that consolidate major crypto exchanges, but it’s still not the same.
