S&P Price Target - any takers?

We will see another inflation bubble, the 1 trillion plus bailout will ensure that. I'm looking for a triple top, third one in 2012 area, I think that will be the final bursting of the Dollar bubble.

what the hell?? Whats up with liquidity?

Volatility is through the roof on every stock option in the market. You need to pay attention to this son. When vols are this elevated, you trade the equities only, or sell vol. Buying vol right before this bailout is idiotic.

Trading Is Over - Submission to Corporate America

I'm going to ride this bull until it's dead. I won't stop trading just because of a socialist agenda. There will always be ways to profit in the markets.

    700B Plan Priced In Already?

Don't fight the fed. We just had one of the highest panics in the credit markets ever. This is clearly a climax to the bear market.

Secret defense bill slipped through the house today

I just find it so interesting the outrage of spending money on the failing US economy, but no one notices the near same level of spending on military being slipped through without a word. Smoke and mirrors is what this whole bailout package is.

is the market going up or down

No need for a complicated plan. You just need to take profits. When you're in the money and about to hit support or resistance take half off, and set stop at break even for the rest.

Secret defense bill slipped through the house today

Interesting that during all this noise about the 800 billion bailout, the house passed the mysterious 600 billion defense spending bill and sent it to the senate today. In the bill it has 1 billion for the radar system to put in the czeck republic, and 5 billion worth of earmarks added for...

Small Business Owners - one of the REAL targets of the financial grid takeover!

You need to lay off the weed. Your conspiracy theories are a little far-fetched.

    is the recession orchestrated

My theory is that the increase in the US national debt from 5 trillion to 10 trillion in 8 years has put too much pressure on the international financial system. Foreign investors have slowly since around 2003, stopped recycling all their dollars into the US economy. This has caused the current...

    CNBC BUFFETT buying into Goldman

It seems like a gift to me. I would take those warrants. Priced at 115 and exercisable anytime within 5 years. Rich people get all the great deals.

    Oil!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :> :> :> ;) ;) :d :d :d

I've been trying to think of different premises: 1. short squeeze on expiration day 2. rush to take actually delivery, but seller strike 3. inflation fears causing airlines, etc to stockpile

Crude up $10 to $114.54, thank you Hank!

You guys are making something out of nothing. Just an expiration anomaly. The back months are not nearly as elevated.

    what crude is cnbc quoting?

129, wow. Someone just got their ass handed to them.

Crude up $10 to $114.54, thank you Hank!

It doesn't really matter, the contract you're watching expires soon. I'm looking at QMX08 and I have a 109 and change quote.

after Monday's super spike, how do we not crash hard

The key is, when will the shorts capitulate. Some weak hands may have covered friday, but I'll bet a majority of the funds still have their financial shorts on. There will be some interest in the next week or 2 to drive these financials to the point where every last stubborn short is squeezed...

POLL tomorrow, what will the market do?

With the crusade against short sellers, today seems to have squeezed them out. Without any shorts left to squeeze, this market will only go lower. Who wants to be a bagholder when there will only be longs selling to eachother, no shorts to buy with covering equals bad news. China is a great example.
  18. R

Markets better hold up today or they will ban shortselling altogether.

The reason the new sec rule hasn't caused a short squeeze is because most shorts covered on FOMC day. The selling now is just longs being spooked out of the market. There are no shorts to squeeze. That's the scary thing. They have chased all the shorts off, so now what we have is a long squeeze...

FNM and FRE bailout bullish or bearish

You're such a smug troll, still trying to detract from the OP. You're trying to hijack this thread. The whole point of this thread was to get opinions about whether the FNM, FRE bailout is bullish or bearish. I posted my premise. That's that Now this post should resume the original purpose...
