    S&P 500 Tech/Fin

aint no sector I've ever heard of. Is this some sort of ratio you're trying to show? Are you aware of all of the classification/structural changes in both the "Information Technology" sector and "Financials" sector since 1990, probably rendering your zero word "analysis" ineffective?

    NxCore is no longer offered

+1 for NxCore - great for most realistic intraday trading. If you need sub-millisecond latency/you are a scalping wannabe, and you're asking here - you can't afford that. Your competition programs in co-located silicon and is laughing at your sub-6-digit budget.

NinjaTrader users: is your data feed freezing ?

Every data feed has its problems from time-to-time. If your trading requires a being online constantly during trading hours, and you don't have a backup or two in place, then only you are the one to blame. Personally, I've meticulously documented and _tested_ my "disaster plan" which is to...

    LMT

Why is this news? Company has revenues of about $24B, nd you're talking about an extension to a contract they already have (not exactly "new" business) that grows their sales by a whopping 0.15% p.a., and on the basis if their profit margin, increases their cash about $3M per annum. It's...

yahoo SPX volume is just weird

Yes that's exactly what I'm saying - it is insane. They are using an entire stock exchange's volume for all listings for an index containing 500 stocks across multiple exchanges. It's illogical and misleading. One of the many reasons not to use Yahoo / CSI. Anyway, volume on indexes is a...

yahoo SPX volume is just weird

Years ago when I subscribed to CSI Data, I noticed this anomaly and asked them about it. It was buried deep in a footnote... the volume is that of all New York Stock Exchange listings - i.e. nothing at all to do with the S&P 500 index at all! I believe Yahoo source their data from CSI - the...

    NYSE volume vs Dow

Also, using single exchange volume is so 1980s. In case you hadn't noticed, NYSE only trades about 30% of its listings' volume. https://markets.cboe.com/us/equities/market_statistics/

Looks like Yahoo Download API is now Dead - 11/1/2017

Any time a new vendor comes along (free or not) I give them a go if I can fit into my workflow. I use alternative sources to highlight any possible issues on trade signals I'm taking, so I can review prior to placing orders. I can't recommend any of the free ones - they just generate too many...

Historical data NYSE TICK and A/D-Line Ninjatrader 8

Same reaction applies - why use it? It's not relevant and just adds noise. You're trying to get relevant trading signals but you're just adding useless garbage to the mix.

Historical data NYSE TICK and A/D-Line Ninjatrader 8

So you want to know what debt securities are doing when you're trading stocks? Seriously? Some facts for you: The S&P 500 comprises 377 NYSE stocks and 128 Nasdaq stocks The NYSE Tick and A/D indicators are based upon 3132 securities, of which about 2000 are operating companies and the rest...

Historical data NYSE TICK and A/D-Line Ninjatrader 8

Yes, but do you understand the implications of using an indicator that samples the entire market including stuff you probably don't want? e.g. Do you think a floating rate note debt security should contribute to a stock market sentiment indicator?

Delisted stocks now what? information wanted.

Private was actually previously listed on Nasdaq and was even a Russell 2000 member (until it went to OTC). It was in and out of Russell a few times, but I guess its just not firm enough to stay.

He did, but his wife didn't. "Honey, I sorta lost some money in the stock market" "Oh dear. On what?" "A hardcore porn production company." "..." "But their movies were so good!" "No soup for you. Come back 1 year"

    Historical Fundamental Stock Data

I let my data vendor do that for me (Norgate). I also don't actually care what happens in a corporate action, nor do I really want to know the details - I just want the price data adjusted correctly. Perhaps if I was a fund manager trying to figure out what just happened to my Liberty position...

Delisted stocks now what? information wanted.

This has been a shit company from about late 2007 (I've got the chart). If you bought into the hype after late 2007, you forgot to look at a chart or use any sort of analysis methods on it at all. It sounds like you put all your eggs into one basket and have been burned. Time to take...
