Dow @ New Intraday High for 7/12...

I've posted this theory previously in other threads. We are at a point in time right now where growth is trumping value. Since 2001, value has ruled the street and you can see this when you chart out the Russell value series of indexes on www.prophet.net using all data charts. In 1996...

    tommorow's freefall

Why cant you see the NDX and the SPX going in opposite directions? The $SPX is a value oriented index with an average P/E of about 17 where as the $NDX is a growth oriented index with a P/E of 24. The total market has a P/E of about 18. I am not bullish on the $SPX, but I am bullish on...

Dow @ New Intraday High for 7/12...

Lets look at this logically and talk about this in an intelligent manner rather then resorting to anecdotes, slogans and other trivia that has nothing to do with anything ... The vast majority of technicians do not declare a breakout to a new high until there is at least a 3% break over the...

I declare that it is now time to trade Solar: CSUN

CSUN putting out some news today...The problem with the young start-up Chinese solars is that their communication with Wall Street needs work. Everyone had a tight 1Q and 2Q as far as the polysupply issue, but not everyone's price dumped down so much. I looked at the way CSUN worded their...

    Opportunity Knocks- ANF

I was looking at ANF after you talked about it and, honestly, that was one nervous looking chart. However, in the past, when its dumped down past its 200 day moving average its always been a buy. I would long it once it closes over the 200 day and then prepare for the ride up.

Circuit City (cc), Brlc And Rsh

Looks like the news is out on BRLC. BRLC took a resounding dump on high volume at the end of the day. We dont know about the news, but someone else sure does. Look at how it dumped nice. Probably be a press release out in a day or two and then there will be the real selloff. RSH and CC...

    tommorow's freefall

Look at the Russell Growth vs. Russell Value today. The only thing holding things up now is growth. The SPX continues to chopl hasnt made a new high since June 4th (over a month ago). Sooner or later, it will give and $hort will equal dollars.

so many n00bs who want to

Too bad I cant see stocktraders replies in this thread since he has earned a spot on my "ignore" list. All I see is a blank spot where his message should be. Why should I read the replies from a 15 year old posing as a stocktrader?

Waterfall selloff coming on the SPY $SPX=1430

I copied this chart from TraderTim's website. This says exactly what I am thinking. The greater amount of times a price tests a certain point and the longer the price stays in a certain range, then the more explosive the outcome will be. In this case, the SPX has been stuck in this range...

so many n00bs who want to

The wealthier a person is the more discriminating in their spending they tend to be (usually). If you placed a cup of coffee in front of someone like Eddie Lampert, Michael Bloomberg, etc. and you loudly proclaimed "That will be $5", I believe they will simply say "No thanks". Starbucks is...

    JSDA squeeze

The soda sucks. I say it goes to 22 before it pivots. Look at the overhead gap on the chart. There will be lots of chop in between... http://www.prophet.net/analyze/sc.jsp?symbol=jsda

What The F And Where The H Are We?

Back in 2000, we didnt have as many indexes as we did today. So when the market tanked, we thought it tanked, but did it really tank back in 2000? Believe it or not, there were two stock markets in 2000. The growth market in which people rode down and the value market which people rode up...

so many n00bs who want to

The type of trading that is promoted here seems very risky. For example, trading energy futures, daytrading, prop trading on neckbleed leverage, holding stocks for a few minutes or seconds and then selling, shorting, calls/puts, etc. You cant get much riskier then the strategies presented...

Circuit City (cc), Brlc And Rsh

Here is my update: Im surprised at the strength of these sectors despite all the bad news. I believe the strength is coming from the upcoming holiday season, however, thats just hype and not true fact. RSH- Slowly bleeding down further. Its really being stubborn. I'll consider a...

Waterfall selloff coming on the SPY $SPX=1430

This series of lower highs and lower lows will not continue much longer. Target price is going to be 1430 with any break under 1484. I can only think the SPY will go lower in the days to come and I am very short.

    Bernanke 1PM today.

....plus circuit breakers did nothing to stop the market from bubbling up or bubbling back down in 2000. If a circuit breaker is hit, then trading will pause for a certain period of time and then when things get turned back on the selling will most likely resume. A bit of information why...

Today is a rough day for the indexes, but MU is still in positive territory so someone knows or believes something and they are willing to throw money at this beast.
