Thanks for the response. To be more precise, I've been practicing wash trades for at least 5 years. I kept a log in the beginning but no longer. I've probably done a few thousand at least. Even now, every day, I do at least one, usually 2-3, just for the hell of it. I do recommend taking a...

The blind leading the blind. Since time immemorial, uninformed and incompetent people have led others who are similarly incapable, so why should it be different here. On one of my charts, a line was already drawn from before today that informed me of R when bar 31 hit. You cannot find any...

I think he meant for you to post one of your hindsight charts to clear up his confusion. :p Seriously, cut the guy some slack. He's been hanging on your every word for months now following your advice to not move beyond "M" until he's mastered that, whatever that means.

Yes there is. Even more so when you accept fully what it does. I think this concludes my posting here. There's nothing more for me to add really. Kudos to Spydertrader for his efforts, and all the best to all the learners. Good trading.

However you slice it or dice it, there's no lateral there LOL. My additions in blue.

What is your rationale for the violet colored box? It looks to me you just drew two horizontals from the extremes of the 14:30 bar. What's so special about the 14:30 bar? That whole sequence of bars is merely hugging the LTL at the end of the R2L traverse. Happens quite a lot.

I'm not sure that's possible but I'll do what I can to address your questions. Sounds good. Go for it. It doesn't make reference to any bars. It refers to the periods prior to and following the entry. It's a wash drill. You hold until you can wash. The trade might go 10 points in the green...

No apologies necessary. Thanks for the reply. A bit more light has come in. I have to admit, though, I'm glad I don't have to take this course to graduate. Just kidding. All the best.

Always a p3? See attachment of your annotated chart. My editing in red. This is still not quite clear to me. Can you get a change signal on a 5m bar within a lateral? Your answer would be no? It seems what you are saying is that once you determine a lateral "formation" (which, if I'm...

This is a remarkable viewpoint. If I had the same, I guess I'd have to stop trading. I cannot determine change or continuation on every 5 minute bar. Sometimes it's "I don't know," which is fine by me because some days I put on a trade in the AM and walk away until midday. In my opinion...

Congratulations! You have been initiated into the membership of the World Trading Federation (WTF). Is the failure to p3 (fp3) the trading equivalent to the Lochness Monster??? Now this thread is getting interesting.

    Iterative Refinement

The name of this thread is Iterative Refinement. Doesn't this presuppose that there be something to refine? What is your expectation from trading? Callmate tells you that you are making it hard on yourself and to keep it simple with FTT and 123. No doubt her expectation is to extract from the...
