yep, still trying to find a bottom. Your instincts were right. Now reevaluating my whole premise about markets. Really need to find a base in equities, which I don't see. And yen continues to strengthen, which is problematic. Volatility still too high, but I wouldn't sell it either.

everything sort of backing up this am. Really don't see much opportunity to initiate. Gold had a run up, so I expected to see equities down hard. There was a test lower but that fire is out for now. More vol in Cad than I would have expected. Risk on till proven otherwise.

When I think of shorts, I'm looking, generally for the weakest stock in the weakest industries, and the opposite for longs. The best shorts are bankruptcy candidates, the best longs you should not have to sell for years they are so strong. That's the ideal picture, then you trade around that...

There's more but it'll come out when the context is right. Jim's work was about demand, and I still look at the markets from that perspective. Is there a strong force driving this particular thing we are trading? What is it based on? Who's in control right now? I tend to look at what's in play...

well, yes and no. Not trading now. Was getting good then broke up with girlfriend who was backing me. I've been watching the markets since after college in 86. Blown out a couple times. Spent 15 years learning from a guy who had a really different way of looking at things, which I still use. He...

like this trade better. If you flipped chart it would look like a pullback in an uptrend. Obviously not fun to see it go against. R/R is good.

Anyway I still think USD/CHF is still valid, just the parameters, have changed.

Hard to trade when not feeling well, hard not to sometimes. Only another trader perhaps can understand that you're upset because you missed work.

Does anyone use a reliable FX broker?

Just called MB--TradeKing bought them and soon it will all be TK. I might be moving, too, as MB was really good and I liked the platform.

well, you yourself said you don't pay too much attention to s/r. It's going where it's going regardless. I like the chart. It's broken above, then had a hard retracement. Looks like a shakeout of weak longs. Plus,it should shadow the euro, which is looking vulnerable here as well

Does anyone use a reliable FX broker?

ATC is the name. And I'm checking MB to make sure they aren't trading forex, cause I still show quotes on their platform. ATC allows scalping, which is a plus. You might want to read up on the types of processing they use--_a lot of the forex brokers are just bucket shops, as has been alluded to...

Does anyone use a reliable FX broker?

Check out the reviews on the net. MB trading was good and I use them for equities and futures. Equities probably better. Anyway, TradeKing bought them, so now I'm on trade King. It's OK, but I saw a better one out of California, I'll try to get the name. But they require 5k initial, so I wasn't...

    I had a dream.....

The subconscious leads the conscious. I spent 15 years studying under a guy who applied this principle to the markets. He had a service devoted to it. Sadly, he passed in 2010. He was living proof that thoughts are things, and if you have an idea it can grow into something fabulous. I'll talk in...
