And how many times will your stop order be hit by the random, meaningless spike.. like the 10-pt one move in ES at 17:26 EST yesterday.

How much has been enough for you?

If you start with $50k a year and double every year, you'd be at $51 million in ten years. What color did you say your Ferrari was?

    Brent options

I bow to ogarbitrages expertise when it comes to what the big players do... But I can assure you spreads in pit is not tighter. I execute both in the pit and electronically, and LO spreads are tightest on the screen. They are a little blown out right now, but a 2-3 cent spread is typical...

What was that ES move about

No, I'm looking at QR on ORCL. No volume/move in Oracle at all at 17:20:56, which is when NQ/ES both suddenly blew up.

What was that ES move about

Absolutely nothing on BB, I've scanned everything around 15:21 PM EST. I'm going to guess fat finger, and/or someone short being liquidated.

What was that ES move about

Same thing in NQ. What just happened? Nothing on BB that I see.

    OVX futures?

OVX published by the CBOE and OIV published by the CME will give that going forward. If you want something looking back in time... you have sources like ivolatility, Bloomberg, OptionVue.

IB replies, and simply says they aren't offered at this time.

    Brent options

Not sure what your question is. But to be as specific as possible: LO is the symbol for the NYMEX-listed American-style options which has CL (WTI futures) as its underlying. As far as the size of the spread... it certainly sucks, and means trading in/out is incredibly expensive. But...

    Brent options

In my dream of dreams, someone making markets in Brent options on ICE will message me and say.... For a 80 lot order, I'll quote a market that's 10, 20 cents wide.

    Brent options

I really don't get you. Any options I hold would still be in WTI, when I'm specifically looking for Brent... its that always changing Brent-WTI spread that I'm concerned about. And I can't find any Brent-WTI options out there for hedging that. I'm looking into getting an 80 contract...

So a Bloomberg Terminal is $1,500 per month. Why?

If you're a daytrader looking at price chart of a single instrument, very unlikely BB will be useful to you. BB is more about accessing fundamental information, statistical analysis, understanding/studying relationships between different instruments, getting quotes/prices on various derivative...

So a Bloomberg Terminal is $1,500 per month. Why?

Interesting... Are SPEC and the chatrooms useful sources of information? I'm a little skeptical.
