The 60 minutes piece was just a rehash of all the same theories that you've presented before. Maybe it brings more public awareness to the issue, but in the end the complaints are being presented by a company that can't run its own business properly and so it has to draw attention from its real...
If you are just concerned with the naked shorting scandal, why post an article about an analyst declaring OSTK shares cheap? What does that have to do with naked shorting? Who are you and how much are you getting paid to post this stuff?
My point is that a lot of this thread has centered on naked shorting. The fact that I could get a legitimate short at IB on OSTK (which I hadn't been able to do for a very long time) seems to imply that the naked shorting conspiracy is a non-issue.
I don't know if this means anything, but I was able to short OSTK through IB this morning pre-market. This is the first time I've been able to short OSTK in several months.
Yes. There was one day a long time ago when INSTINET went down. In the pre-market, I entered about 10 orders into INSTINET and then tried to cancel them. I did did not receive any confirmations for the cancels. I called in to IB and the customer representative told me that the orders were...
My compensation came before they had a strict user agreement. I believe now I would not have been compensated for what happened. I am just saying that IB has been known to compensate for problems before. Whether your particular situation merits compensation is not clear to me.
This is not true. I have been compensated by IB before due to an IB system error. Looking back at it, it is unclear whether I should have even been compensated for what happened (IB's compensation policy at the time was not as strict as it is now).
Overall, IB is the tops.
Have you tried File-->Save Settings after you have told the tooltips to go away for good? It sounds like since your TWS is not shutting down properly, it isn't able to save information to disk. Is your hard drive ok?
Your machine must have some issues if this is happening to you (the ctrl>alt>delete problem). I.e., I don't believe that is necessarily a TWS problem. Can you not click on the "Do not show me tips again" checkbox?
You were the one proclaiming that by March 10th I would be admitting that you were right about this whole thread. But you didn't even post on March 10th. So whatever dude. Your credibility is zero.
About the $92 price target by someone at TheStreet, is that all that you've got? Does that...
That was on March 9th. So on March 10th, where was your "talk"? If you are going to portray yourself as someone in the know, then you should be prepared to back up what you are saying, especially when you give self-imposed deadlines.
It has been my experience that trouble tickets are superior to e-mail service. All of my tickets have been answered much more quickly than any e-mail I sent.
What is the definition of "day trading"? If I hold positions overnight but then get out within in a day, would the IRS consider that "day trading" in terms of the Roth IRA? Seems bogus to me. Where do you draw the line?
How is this market manipulation? If he says something, do you have to buy or sell it on his recommendation? The people doing the buying and selling based on what he says are the morons - you should be complaining about them.
Man I am so glad that you posted this stuff as I've really learned a lot about being moral. I've learned that by spending hours each day posting the same idea over and over again that I can be regarded on the same moral plane as Mother Theresa. Thanks.
No really, who are you working for? I know you would like Herb Greenberg to give up his sources, so why don't you be a man and give up yours first. Why is this the only topic you post on?
