Mechanical trading is based on the theory that not all aspects of the market are random. Through testing we can then find this non randomness which takes place over long term tendencies.

I think it is great so many people want ts7. My general rule is to not upgrade unless absolutely necessary or the benefits outweigh the risk. Until the 20 years of futures data is available the risks of upgrades are too high for me. I'm happy for others to find the bugs.
