the 'squiggly line indicators' (rsi/macd/stochs) aren't as useful for my type of fast scalps, since too slow, it's the time & sales/tape patterns that I primarily use.... I like tape speed, volume, ADX/DMI, and 1-min candlestick patterns for open range breakouts ..

good point Bluehorseshoe ... example, my wife's from Japan, and her description of the healthcare system there leaves the USA model in the dust.. apparently over there, there's much better attention to detail, better patient care, it's less costly and they give broader coverage for more...

Great point. Developing skills to become a good trader is the "core" of it... not the method of trading, it's how to become a good trader. Nowadays, when I read trading books, I'm not looking to find a 'method' or tech indicator, it's much more about getting inside the mind of the trader...

I like ET, hearing from the rest of the trading community here online is the next best thing to being in a large convention with a lot of other traders, and fast for reading, skimming, reviewing ideas and the 'train of thought' of various traders... ET's still my favorite and only stock...

Good point re setting boundaries... and that extends to acquaintances, customers, vendors, whoever-- people who are "toxic influences" should be 'stopped out' ... it's important to surround yourself with people who can help you, and set firm boundaries to prevent negative comments from people...

Here's a good example from today's SMTC gap win long breakout: today I told my traders to go long at 20.25+ and to sell 21.4 in realtime, based on ADX getting over 40 at the entry trigger. Note that the ADX starts to decline as the price goes flat, which is why I said to sell 21.4...
