    ask/bid numbers: market manipulation?

Dcraig, what you wrote there really makes sense, thank you. Your chart seems to show that tracking the ask/bid is really a valid way for tracking the bullishness/bearishness of the market... I hope you don't mind me quoting you for the benefit of anyone reading this thread. Quote from...

    ask/bid numbers: market manipulation?

I agree with you in theory. Which is exactly my question! For some reason rallies are always accompanied by offers above the market that are larger than the bids below the market, which just doesn't make sense to me...

    ask/bid numbers: market manipulation?

I've noticed that most of the time, when the market rallies, the offers in my DOM outnumber the bids, sometimes greatly so, and vice versa during a sell-off. I saw a thread here that even discusses how to scalp based on this fact. To me it makes absolutely no sense. If there are more offers than...

    Effectiveness of Candlestick bars...

I've been backtesting a (preliminary) profitable system based on volume breakouts. Having looked at the close of candlestick bars relative to their high/low for a long time to gauge the bullishness/bearishness of the market, I figured it made sense to add a filter to the system based on said...

    Please help! Connection problems...

I just transferred to a new computer today, and for some reason my trading platform and esignal/ts2000i seem to be clashing. I'll have several minutes when I'm not getting quotes on one, while the other is fine, and then it switches. And then they'll both be fine. And then they'll start taking...

    Wide vs regular 19" screens

Hmm. I get your point about quote pages, but as it happens to be they're mainly for charting, so I'm still not sure.

    Wide vs regular 19" screens

Hi everyone, I had ordered two 19" screens for my new trading computer, but the fellow by mistake got them in widescreen. Now I'm wondering if I should keep them or not. They take up more space on my desk, so that's a minus. But are there any advantages for charting in widescreen, or are...

    First day after 2 years...

Two years ago I took a break from trading and dedicated myself to a non-profit organization which I founded. Well, the charity has grown, and with it it's financial needs, so I decided to take up the gauntlet. And wow, did I forget what it's all about. The emotions, the fear, the greed... I...

    Trading computer

I'm switching from a laptop to a desktop, and asked a computer guy I know to put something together for me. Could those here who know about these things tell me if the following is an adequate setup? The computer mainly be used for trading (i.e. no browsing, wordprocessing etc.) and will be...

Buy Dax and Sell stoxx: Hedging the two against each other

Hi Everyone, Having several years of experience in the Sp's and Russell, I've been getting ready to switch to Eurex as it suits my current time-zone better. At first I was thinking of trading the Dax, but after poring over the charts I found myself continually raising the amount of margin I...

    Point&figure charts for TS?

Hi everyone, I'm interested in starting to work with p&f charts, but find the "regular" TS2000i ones inaccurate and hard to work with. Are there any freeware/opencode p&f indicators (or the code for them) that anyone here would have available that could take the place of the "regular" TS...

I've been over at this thread http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=66372&perpage=6&pagenumber=1 reading about how fills and confirmations with Eurex trades has been getting worse and worse. Makes me a little nervous. What do you guys think?
